After the dance at the Green Yard Balon went back to his pavilion to change before heading to the Golden Rose Inn. He had a few things he wanted to do before the night was over and one of them was to tell the tale of the heroic rescue of Ser Aladore.
At the inn Balon was sure to buy a few rounds for the tavern goers to get them in the right mood before telling his story. With an audience assembled Balon spoke of how Bittersteel, Lord Gormon, Ser Addam, and Balon defeated the kidnappers despite being outnumbered 3 to 1.
"If it wasn't for the sharp eyes and expert tracking of Ser Addam I fear Ser Aladore might not have been found." He spoke of Addam coming back to the camps for reinforcements, "Ser Addam knew that he needed knights of skill and action and turned to the valiant Ser Aegor and Lord Gormon." Balon conveniently left out Addam tipping off the sellswords by stepping on the world's loudest stick. He talked of the valiant charge into a volley of arrows that couldn't slow their vengeance. "The sellswords were cut down like wheat before the fury of the four." They had been injured but he left out such inconsequential details. "We were impervious to the blades and bolts and when half of them lay dead the other half knew resistance was futile."
Balon spent a while answering questions; yes Bittersteel was a sight to behold, yes Lord Gormon was an unstoppable force, no Ser Aladore sustained no lasting injury. This went on until Balon had beat home the fact it was knights who supported Blackfyre that saved the day.
