Ser Aerion Baratheon and Ser Tywin Lannister delivers a stellar match worthy of songs, with the Stormbreaker holding the upper hand, more than enough for the Lord Commander to turn to risk-taking strategies towards the end as he can hardly hope to match his foe with blade in hand and thus depend upon unseating him. The tactic does not work as Ser Aerion keeps his seat and it is instead Ser Tywin that founds himself without a seat. Ser Daemon Waters against Ser Gwayne Corbray with swords in hand would be a match everyone would want to see, Blackfyre against The Lady Forlorn, it would be legendary. But with lances in hand, Ser Daemon is considered the better man by far and the hope to see them clash swords this day is snuffed when Ser Gwayne is unhorsed in the first pass. Ser Roland Redwyne needs only two passes against Ser Willem Wylde of the Kingsguard to demonstrate why he is counted among the favorites. Lord Marq Durwell wastes no time in sending Ser Flement Redwyne off his horse in the first pass, never once appearing to be threatened. Ser Aemon Flowers against Lord Willem Redwyne promised to be a tight, evenly matched pairing. Not so, as Lord Redwyne lance is place just well enough to put Ser Aemon's horsemanship to a test which is just too tough for him and it is all over in the first pass. Ser Tommard Heddle and Ser Quentin Cordwayner follows each other closely right until the sixth pass when Ser Quentin slips in the saddle and falls off to what wasn't that much of a blow. Ser Manfryd Grimm is faced with absolutely no challenge from Ser Rennifer Woodwright, a man that have surprised many by lasting so far. That Ser Manfryd requires only the single pass to unseat him is no surprise at all. Ser Normyn Flowers unseats Ser Malcolm Caswell in the first tilt, lackluster horsemaship for the Blackbriar sworn sword. Lord Bryce Bridges needs only a single tilt to unhorse Ser Arlan Hewett, ever the showman he takes a victory lap in front of the stands, blowing winks and kisses to the ladies before making a theatrical bow to Lady Laena. Then he rides over to Lord Marq Durwell and throws his glove at is feet in challenge, Marq simply looks at him with amusement. "You might as well yield now, my lord!" Bryce shouts in a feigned mocking tone. "I have been knocking whelps like you off their arses since before I seduced your mother!" Marq has to chuckle at the insult. "Is that right, my lord? Let us hope for your sake that Lady Margaery is generous enough to lend you her litter, you will be needing it afterwards, old man"As amusing as the exchange might be, most see it as Lord Bryce deciding that this is far enough and that he might as well give his friend an easy path into the final eight. As expected, Lord Manfred defeats Ser Marlon, the Kingsbridge knight displaying horrible horsemanship, both having progressed much further in this tournament than anyone had expected. Manfred Lothston is a cheating bastard TN 15: 8d6k5 23 +3 to fighting and passive ride.
