Ser Parmen had seen him in action before, Lord Manfred is a knight of average ability that never have proceeded far into a tournament. He likes to take a bit of extra risk to compensate, hoping to get lucky.
Animal Handling 3, Ride 2 Endurance 3 Fighting 4 Lance 2 Destrier Full Plate
Does Noble, Eyes Fixed and High in Saddle as standard,

Ser Parmen patted Tempest on the neck. Lord Fossoway had given the grey destrier to Parmen when he had knighted him. He was a magnificent animal with a smooth powerful gait. He waved to the stands and raised his lance in salute to Lord and Lady Tyrell. His wife's favor flapped loosely in the breeze from where he had tied it around his arm. He lowered his lance and looked across the field. Lord Risley was no Longthorn but a fair knight who had never disgraced himself. Focus was everything. The noises of the crowd faded away. It was as if he and Lord Risley were the only ones on the field. The only ones that matter right now. He set his spurs to Tempest urged him to a gallop. Focus...Animal Handling 3, Ride 2 Fighting 5 Lance 2 + Talented Destrier Full Plate I'm riding Noble, Braced and Eyes Fixed. Round 1 joust: Fighting 5 Lances 2B+Talented-Braced: 6d6k4+4 21. (I think that is 2 degrees of success??) Round 1 Joust SiS: AH3, Ride 2+Braced: 5d6k3+3 12. (ouch!) {OOC: my first joust so please let me know what else is needed or what I got wrong!}

Lord Risley's risky maneuvers meet with a qualiefied success, as the two combatants come together in an explosion of lance fragments that seems likely to send both to the ground. Matters will be settled with swords unless destiny takes a hand. [OOC: R1 N, EF, HiS: 5d6k3+6 20 - 2 DoS, TN 14 to stay in the saddle for Ser Parmen due to 2 DoS and Noble. R1 Stay in Saddle, High in Saddle: 5d6k3-3 10- Takes 8 base damage x2 = 16, +1 per Dos from Eyes Fixed = 18, halved from Noble = 9 Damage - 10 AR = 0 Damage Then takes 10 Damage from falling = 1 injury. He'll roll for initiative when I/someone else has his full combat stats? Destiny can be spent to alter the outcome, most obviously by dropping Lord Risley by -1D on his Fighting roll. I wonder if Ser Parmen's tilt roll is missing the -2 from Braced? +3 from AH 3, +1 talented = +4, then missing -2 from Braced? Still 2 DoS either way. Apologies if mistake is at my end.]

OOC: Pretty sure that I calculated the -2 from Braced but it was partially set aside by the +1 Fighting for Eyes Fixed. Again this is my first joust so the mistake could easily be on my end.

[OOC: thanks, doesn't that still put the static modifier at a total of +5, then -2 from braced = +3?]

OOC: {Going to go ahead and spend a DP to remain in the saddle.}
The combatants come together with a crash. Parmen feels the impact through to his teeth and struggles to maintain a hold on Tempest. He is almost at to the end of the list by the time that he realizes Lord Risley is down.
Slowly the tunnel goes away...the cheers from the crowd begin to register...the people in the stands come back into focus. He had won.
Ser Parmen rides back to ascertain that his worthy foe was ok. Lord Risley appeared groggy but was slowly getting back to his feet with the aid of his squire.
"Well ridden, my lord. You hit hard. I am glad to see you on your feet."
As he rides away with waving towards the cheers from the crowd he shakes his head ruefully, a move that hurts far more then it would have two minutes prior. That was a damn near run thing.
