Again there is little to separate them, but Titus feels his seat in the saddle slipping.... Noble, Eyes Fixed, HiS: 5d6k3+9 21 6d6k4-3 15 4d6 9PR 20 AR 10 Health 12 That's a TN 10 to stay in the saddle, if only you could pull a +2 out of your hat to boost your stay in saddle you wouldn't have to fall off....

[If only! BotA edited in to previous post] Shit! Shit! Shit! It hadn't been Ser Humfrey's lancework as much as his own fault. He'd ridden too high and almost lost his balance when the impact came. He was getting tired and he was getting sloppy. Hopefully Ser Humfrey was experiencing the same. Seven broken lances. Twice more and they would take to swords. It almost felt inevitable.

The eight pass finally sees an unbroken lance, both jousters miss their marks by a hair's breadth, in fact, fatigue perhaps? Noble, Eyes Fixed, HiS: 5d6k3+9 19 6d6k4-3 15 4d6 17PR 20 AR 10 Health 12

Maybe it was tiredness. Maybe it was pride. It was all a blur to him now. All he could hear was his own heart pounding and his chest felt too large for his armour. With a roar he turned his horse around drove it around for the last run.

A miscalculation? Leaving himself vulnerable, Titus feels his seating slipping once more as both lances break once more. Noble, Eyes Fixed, HiS: 5d6k3+9 24 6d6k4-3 16 4d6 12PR 20 AR 10 Health 12 That's a 2 DoS hit on you, with a TN 14 to stay in the saddle..spending a DP to slam his rolls with -1D would make it a 1 DoS and TN 10, Lord Tyrell would let you continue to round 2 because first three rounds counts as a draw, but then Ser Humfrey gets the girl (or at least her favor).

[Using DP would mean carry on to swords with him still at -1D? Lets do it.]

[Spends 1 DP for -1D for Ser Humfrey]
The final charge hit Titus hard in the chest and almost flung him out of the saddle. Almost.
Nine charges and eight broken lances. His body was on fire and his vision blurry from sweat and exhaustion. But it wasn’t over yet. He dismounts and looks to the Tourney Master and Lord Tyrell for the approval to continue on foot.
In his peripheral he sees Lady Deana leaning forward in her seat.

Visibly more slowed down than his opponent, Ser Humfrey throws caution to the wind in a desperate attempt to get back in the running, to little success.
CD: 4 Health: 6/12 AR: 10 Reckless attack: 7d6k4 18 Deals 4 damage per DoS, so nothing getting through. Yeah, armor penalty, but you still win.

Ser Humfrey is visibly winded and seems worse of than Titus. In a maybe vainglorious attempt to end the duel without harming his opponent Titus tries to disarm him.
CD: 11 AR: 10 Health: 13/13 Damage: 6 (5+1 True Knight) Unarm 1 v Ser Humfrey: 6d6k4 14 - I think thats a fail? Edit: I'm an idiot. Misread requirements (and proper term) for successful Disarm. Wont attempt that again.

Ser Humfrey's sword stays in his hand, with great strain he takes advantage of this brief reprieve to kick Titus' feet from under him, taking advantage of his higher swinging arc to land a heavy blow, but it is becoming clearer and clearer that he cannot really keep this up.
CD: 4 Health: 6/12 AR: 10 Fatigue: 1 Knockdown: 3d6k2 10 Success, Titus is now prone Takes fatigue for lesser action. Reckless attack: 8d6k4-1 22 3 DoS for 3*5 damage=5 after AR.

[OOC: Does that mean that if I take 1 Fatigue then I get an extra Lesser Action, meaning I can get up and attack next round? With a -1 obviously. If I don't, I have to spend 1 Lesser Action getting up, being left with 1 Lesser Action for that round?]

Attacking is a lesser action, so you could do both, but it's a relatively forbidding TN for getting up as a lesser action in full plate and everything, so you probably want a greater to do. There's no penalty for attacking from prone, so the smart move is to attack first, then spend fatigue for extra action. Odds are that you can take him just as fast standing on the knee, or just knock him down to level the playing field.
