"Our man!" Balon was greeted by a sudden shout and a heavy-handed slap on the back by Ser Clifford Conklyn, an inebriated Clifford Conklyn holding a canteen in his other hand. "Fuck the Dornish indeed!" He offers Balon the canteen. "Proper drink for proper men, ser."

Balon turned with a big smile on his face and shook Ser Clifford's hand, "Quite right good Ser!" He took the canteen and took a drink, "To proper Andal men!" Balon listed off some of the more notable Reachmen, making sure to mention known Blackfyre supporters and Lord Tyrell.
"Tell me Ser, how is your father Lord Edmyn?" Both Balon and Edmyn had squired for Fireball and supported Daemon Blackfyre.

"I can drink to that." He agrees happily. It's a very good strong-wine, fit for a king, well, a great lord at least. "Happier than ever, he remarried, now I have this beautiful stepmother that is younger than I am! Almost wish that I could have married her, but father says he want me to forge a better alliance, heh. I wonder if that's just an excuse. There's advantages to not having a wife, though, let's you fantasize, and no jealous wife to complain about what you might be doing out of her sight." He seems to make a toast to that, having a good sip before passing the canteen back again.

It's a very good strong-wine, fit for a king, well, a great lord at least. Balon sucked air through his teeth after drinking the wine. " Whew! That is some fine wine right there." Better lay off that. I've had enough already and I need to be sharp for Ser Walton."Happier than ever, he remarried, now I have this beautiful stepmother that is younger than I am! He seems to make a toast to that, having a good sip before passing the canteen back again. " My uncle Lord Jon did the same thing. Married a woman as young as me!" Balon sobered up for a moment, " My condolences on your mother's passing. I'm sorry I was unaware she'd moved on to the Seven heavens." Balon changed the subject back to a lighter tone, " The good thing about being young and unmarried is you can have a little fun before finding a suitable match." Balon put his hand up to his head, " I see a buxom young lass in your future." and laughed. Balon took another drink from the canteen, " Mhmmm. Good stuff but I think I'll refrain from any more. Need to be ready for Ser Walton (Wyl) in the morning. Down with Dorne!" Balon toasted.

"Surely, ser. You can send that old piece of shit facedown in the mud with your eyes closed and the lance in your bad hand! What harm could it possibly do?" Intrigue Iniative: 3d6+2 16Objective: Get Balon to drink with him, properly. Not like Dornish sissies on watered-down stuff.

Clifford, Initiative, Status + Chivalry: 3d6+2 14ID: 11 DR: 4 (Indifferent) Composure: 11 Goal: Avoid getting shit faced. ________________________________________ Balon laughed, " That I could Ser Clifford, that I could." Balon's plan was to do more than win so he had to use his natural charm to get out of the situation without offending an ally. " But I want to do it in style. I want the whole Reach to see that a Dornishman is good for," Balon added with emphasis, " nothing!" " And for that I need to delay our celebration until after I win." Edit: will add persuasion roll later to speed things up.

Balon was jovial, " Never celebrate early, counting chickens before hatching, yes, yes!" Balon smiled and put an arm around Clifford's shoulder, " Have you met Lord Karl (Willum)? I made the mistake of engaging him in a drinking contest two nights back and my head was pounding the next morning." Balon delivered his punchline, " And the only pounding I plan on is the lady that is lucky enough to catch my eye after I win." Balon roared with laughter and slapped Clifford on the back. " Maybe if you're lucky she'll have a comely friend I can introduce you to." Balon smiled as he thought about some of the "ladies" he'd encountered so far at Highgarden, " Just make sure you leave her garden bare of flowers!"

_______________________________________________________________________________ Balon heard the laughter of Lord Karl and grinned in response, " You hear that? That's Lord Karl. Why don't we go over there and have him try some of this." Balon nodded to the canteen. "I'm sure you'll make a fast friend. Just don't arm wrestle him. It felt like he broke my arm last time I went up against him."" What I want to know if whose favor you sought? I want to make sure you have a level head for her tomorrow. Maybe you'll get lucky and face some Dornish dandy."

"Hah, I think you have claimed the only Dornish Dandy there is!" There were a few half-breeds, of course, there weren't many Dornish knights around. Ser Clifford would be riding for some pretty daughter of one of Lord Tyrell's landed knight, looked like a good fuck he thinks. He would have gone for that Levalle bastard if Ser Simon Tarly hadn't beaten him to her, she looked like a better fuck, and much more eager, too. Good for Ser Simon.
It's -2 actually, but he takes the frustration and he'll be taking the frustration to the bitter end. ID: 7 (9-2) Composure: 1 (1 frustration) Convincex3: 3#4d6+2 15 18 17So that's 0, 2, 2...why does he bother?

He would have gone for that Levalle bastard if Ser Simon Tarly hadn't beaten him to her, she looked like a better fuck, and much more eager, too. "I say; Why not both!?" Balon laughed at the notion of bedding both women. Actually... the Levalle bastard might be a good idea. 'Don't get greedy', said a voice in the back of Balon's head. " Half-breed or full matters not. The only thing they're good for is target practice for chivalrous Andal knights like you and me." Balon sensed Clifford was getting frustrated about drinking but tried to keep his mind occupied with other things, "Tell me good Ser Clifford. Of all the ladies here who do you find the most beautiful? I think Lady Daena Roxton has to be in contention for that title. Don't you agree?"
Balon broke out into an impromptu song
"Oh, Dorne, I despise 'Cause it means destruction of innocent lives. Dorne means tears to thousands of mothers' eyes. When their sons get poisoned And lose their lives."
R7-9, Clifford, Pesusion/Charm, ID7*: 3#5d6k3+2 13 18 20 - 2 DoS, 3 Dos, 4 DoS
*Looks like each round he has to take a frustration.

"Now, that's a good question, I think I'll see your Lady Daena and raise you a Lady Lysette. Far too many to chose among, though."
Defeated, orokos isn't cooperative when I'm trying to screw with PC's.
