Roland did not know Lord Tyrell's former squire except by reputation, but what talk he'd heard was encouraging at least and the hunt's evidence backed it up.
"Bravely struck Ser, bravely struck," he offered after they had both claimed a boar.
"It takes courage just to stand in the boar's path and it is only natural to flinch: a man can only be brave when he is afraid."

Aerion offers the man his forearm in greeting. He did not know the man, but over the course of the day he had proven to be fine company and a decent hunter.
"Thank you, Ser. Although in this case I can't say I'm too afraid of what I hope to be a delicious addition to tonight's feasts. But you are not wrong."
"If I'm not mistaken, you are of house Cordwayner, if my knowledge of sigils is at all correct? Which, I would never admit to my Maester, is not always the case!" he says with a hearty laugh.

"I am reassured that you simply have the Warrior's bravery rather than a madman's courage: either is a sight to behold but the former makes a better knight. I cannot see I have ever seen a man so still before his quarry."
"Would that your maester were here for the boot of House Cordwayner may not be the realm's most fearsome, but it is indeed mine by birth. I serve with Starling gladly as Kingsbridge's lord is most worthy knight, but try to write my family where possible."
Roland ducked a branch, parts of the Rosewood were clearly growing as strong as the fortunes of their former wardens.
