Roland was sparked in to a fury by the rumours surrounding his beloved niece and frequent correspondent, Denyse Cordwayner. Denyse is a good and true maiden, no Cordwayner has cause to advance her station by bedding down with Redwynes, let alone that oaf Lord Merryweather! A maiden's honour was at stake here.Such was his certainty of her innocence that he focused his efforts on learning the source of such calumnies rather than even thinking to attempt to uncover their veracity. These were base lies, and time spent proving a falsehood was time that could have been spent forcing the malevolent source of this filth to recant. Such matters were not Roland's strong suit, but such was the righteousness of his cause - family honour was at stake - that he felt certain he would solve this mystery. Investigate Cordwayner Rumour Source Knowledge (Streetwise): 3d6 13[OOC: DoS, if any, are focused on the source as noted in roleplay. Standard TN 9 but as it is a rumour I don't know if the source is concealed! Very exciting to see setting elements are relevant]

[OOC: responding to private forum information publicly to share the story]
Roland blushed at the lewd comments he received from the smallfolk, in part due to them chiming with his own shameful thoughts about Dornish women.
He decided to try to charm the information he sought out of this baseborn wretch, who lived down to all the worst instincts of his kind.
Roland was concerned and conflicted by what he had learned as he struggled to reconcile it with his image of one due to marry in to his family. Fair form, but Dornish venom in these words nonetheless. He was determined to remove these lies at their root.
