"And good day to you as well, my lady Ashara." Sebaston Rowan bears a strong resemblance to his father, though perhaps more robust, he keeps himself with the short hair of a warrior and with a neatly trimmed beard framing his face. He bows to her, well practiced in his courtesies, if he cares about the color of her skin, he does not show it."My congratulations on your betrothal."

Empty meaningless words, typical. Still, he'll suit my purposes well enough. That his words were no more formulaic and meaningless than her own did not occur to her. "Thank you, good ser. Ser Quentyn seems a decent knight and a good man, thought I must admit that unlike you I know little of him. Your tourney prowess and your father's role in the Peace with Dorne drew recognition in Sunspear, and you were oft mentioned by my companions there as an ideal knight, strong and wise in equal measure." She smiles. "I had to confess to them that despite Starkwood and Goldengrove being so close that I hardly knew you, and had no first-hand stories to tell. I am grateful that this tourney has given me an opportunity to change that."
Going to try and intrigue Ser Sebaston. "I would imagine that Sunspear took note of the treaty they signed, my lady." Ser Sebaston quips. "Did my lady not go there as part of the terms? But I would be surprised if my small successes at the list are spoken of so far and wide, I am no Longthorn or Redtusk."
That's a non-obtainable objective I'm afraid.

"The good ser has perhaps an overabundance of humility. Humility is good, Ser Sebaston, but even good things in excess can be harmful."
Her chastisement is light and airy, said with a smile on her face - clearly not a serious rebuke.
"While it may be true that others have had more success than you, the interest of my companions was diminished by the possession of negative qualities, such as the desire for war over peace, or disdain for those who happen to have been born south of the Red Mountains. You were left a shining example of the best the Reach has to offer."
She smiles flirtatiously.
"Of course, as they were mostly relying upon me to provide them with tales of the Reach, my own preferences and interests may have distorted their understanding... but I still maintain that we had the right of it."
Ah well, he was a means to an end anyway. Socially acceptable courtly romance with no particular outcome then. Ashara has no real desire to befriend Ser Sebaston, and certainly not anything more extreme. This thread can be placed in the 'low priority' category or closed as you see fit.

As far as knights goes, Ser Sebaston is among the more agreeable ones, once she can crack off the shell of courtesies so common north of the Red Mountains when nobles first meet. One can never be too sure as to how another might respond to more daring words, but when Ashara makes that first move, he relaxes his caution. His head is not up on a cloud as other knights of his young age and with his prowess tends to be. While not the most studied, he is curious about her time in Dorne, and to learn how the Dornish really are like, as opposed to the stereotypes that his peers takes for granted. He is also interested in news from Starkwood, their domains do after all border each other, even if the distance between the seats is considerable.
Okay, wrapping it up.

Ashara finds herself pleasantly surprised by Ser Sebaston - so many men were brainless morons that just believed whatever salacious tales they were told, or were stuffed shirts full of swagger and boasts but no substance. Ser Sebaston, being neither, is like a fresh breeze on a hot and humid day.
He doesn't have the looks or grandeur of Ser Daemon, but if I were betrothed to him I think I would find it rather less objectionable. Still not desired, but perhaps something I could live with.
She answers his questions as best and as truthfully as she can, relating how the Dornish are not really that different from anyone else - they have their loves and their conflicts, their virtues and and their vices. Oh certainly they have some different values, women having more freedoms and paramours and bastards being less objectionable... but it's not any worse than some of the rumors of what goes on in Highgarden's baths between the morn and the evening, and far less than what a certain recent king was known for.
Throughout she remains courteously flirtatious, careful to never step over the bounds of propriety nor to imply any interest in sneaking off to the baths with him.
