For a moment Daeron's heart was lifted as he saw his rivals begin to scatter, but just as quickly it fell as he saw the reason. The Redtusk himself, possibly the finest knight in the kingdom, had caught Lady Daena's attention. "Shit."For the first time in the last few days he lost his swagger. This wasn't some hedge knight with a noble name, this was a man who had literally killed an enemy with a fucking piece of an animal's face. Despite this fear, he clenched his fists and as if moved by an invisible force he walked up to the knight with the intention of challenging him for some teenager's attention. "What is the purpose of honor if it is absent in the face of adversity? Honor demands that I challenge him."
Giving a respectful tilt of his head he addresses Roland. "Ser, before us is a magnificent woman. To permit her favor to be given to any man unchallenged is an injustice to both parties. Do not perceive my challenge as an insult Ser, but as an opportunity for honor." Rolls:

"There is no need for that, good ser." Lady Daena is not much moved by Daeron's words. "I would not wish for one of two such fine knights to have their fortunes at the list cut short so early, Ser Roland will be granted my favor to wear, would that custom allowed two to be given one each, but alas this is not so."
Polite refusal, you'll trigger drawback if you want to settle for just riding in her honor instead of trying to find someone else to give you a favor.

Clenching his teeth, he finds himself unable to even verbally respond to Lady Daena, instead just giving a curt bow before departing her presence. Despite his respect for the notable knight riding in her honor, Daeron finds himself wishing for Redtusk's defeat early in the tourney. Moving his eyes forward, he spotted a beautiful young maiden. Not recognizing her, he approached none other than Shiera Woodwright. "My lady, blessed are you by the Maiden herself. Would you entrust me with your favor this tourney and ensure that my sword and lance both strike true?"

Mother had made herself clear. She was seeking marriages for both two of her eldest sons (if she could marry Vortimer off to some heiress before he hit puberty she would. Titus was sure of it.) and ambition in the tilts was his duty. She’d given him a list of eligible and desirable maidens for him to seek favor with, most of them with the prospect of marriage ill-hidden behind it. Titus had no wishes of marriage as of yet and doesn’t wish to gain a lordship either, “politics isn’t the business of knights” his Father used to say. And Father had ridden in the tilts for many years before marrying mother. The Seven Pointed Star tells you to honor your mother though and his mother wasn’t one to be let down. And why was he thinking about his mother now when was to ask his First Lady for her favor? All this and more was racing through the young knight’s head as he rode in the parade, still riding high after his success earlier when a moment of what was maybe vainglorious madness fell over him and he, without thinking rode up to Lady Deana Flowers. Persuasion 4D Charm 2B +2TK, 1DoS in enrolment, +2Glory, +3 Chivalry: 6d6k4+8 28 - Success 2 DoS He doesn’t remember what was said but the Lady Flowers smiled. He then remembered that Lady Deana had indeed been a woman mentioned by his mother... but he was certain that hadn’t influenced his choice.

Ser Humfrey Harding of the Vale also rides up to ask for the favor of Lady Daena, and she decides to grant her favor to this more renowned knight. Daena TN 18: 5d6k4+10 32 3 DoS. Titus may attempt to challenge for his favor as outlined in step 3 or go with step 4 (a much shorter list, may be attempted if you fail on 3).

Lord Alliser walks swiftly towards his wife, his eyes only for her. Her mouse brown hair and brown eyes met her Lord husband's approach, and she tilted the parasol back, with the other hand she used the fan to cover her mouth. Lord Alliser clatters his way up, then kneels before her on one knee. "My Lady," Lord Alliser's voice is clear, "it would be my greatest honor to ride with your favor in the lists." Lord Alliser reaches fort his gauntleted hand, his Palm outstretched. Lady Levalle rose, and with a flourish produced a piece of golden cloth, black Fox rampant sinister embroidered with loving detail. "My Lord, you may have my favor, may it bring you honor on the field today." She tries the favor to the Lord's wrist, then beams down at Lord Alliser. Lord Alliser rises with faint clanks of metal on metal, then smiles down at his short lady wife. "My Lady, you do me great honor, and with your beauty and virtue I shall ride in the lists. But should I fall this day, know that it was not from lack if inspiration, merely the failing of my imperfect body that has failed to channel your beauty and virtue." With that Lord Alliser grave Lady Levalle a bow and left the stands to give way to the younger knights

Titus rode up to Ser Humfrey, still smiling, this was all part of the tilts after all. He held no animosity to the man nor any hidden agenda to the Lady. “Ser I mean no ill-will towards you but I am ready to fight for the honor of this lady” He again smiles and nods towards Lady Deana. You also gain +2 from chivalry since it's simple intrigue, so a result of 16. Using BoA here doesn't really matter much, but remember that you *can* reroll one dice on the persuasion test, that wouldn't matter on the step 1 test, but since you rolled a 1 on this one, there is absolutely no risk in re-rolling that one. Since at most you can get another DoS which gives you +2 on the follow up roll, best save that +2 for later. (She doesn't have more than 16 intrigue defense), so apply the re-roll and then we'll see about next steps.

Lady Daena is moved by Ser Titus' words and decides that if he can beat Ser Humfrey, he would be worthy of her favor.
So: Titus gains +3 disposition from Daena Flowers, +1 chivalry (+3 glory and +1 chivalry IF victorious) Alliser gains +1 chivalry.

Ser Parmen admires the wealth of beauty on display but walks directly towards his wife who sits beside her twin sister. He grants a smile and a nod to Ellyn, who has already given her favor to the mysterious Knight of Hammers. There is a story here…He turns his full attention to his Alys, a task that was no hardship. “My Lady for the affection I bear you I humbly ask to wear your favor in the lists to bring me fortune and remind me what it is that I fight for.” They did not yet have a child, but, the Seven willing, they both hoped to be blessed with one soon. His wife smiled, mostly with her eyes, and held out a small scarf, with a black fox on blue. The sigil of House Levalle surrounded the colors of House Redwyne. “You have my favor always. Ride well, my lord.” Roll vs TN9 S&R: 3persuasion( 2b Charm) (1b Attractive) + 2chivalry +3 DOS+1 Glory: 6d6k3+6 23
