Thaddeus heard Ser Lewyn's tirade against his House and did his best to keep a smile on his face though a small sigh escaped him. Another oh so honorable knight intent to ambush me needlessly with both words and lance. A plan likely thought up by his warhorse, I suspect the horses are the real brains behind the Appleton brothers. On this field however, he will hold the advantage...we will have to see what we can do to even the odds. Today, tomorrow or months hence...there will be a lesson he shall learn.(OOC-Some form of cheating expected, likely option D: Resolve damage based on DoS against whatever is lower of combat defense and passive AH, lance shatters if achieving 2 DoS against combat defense or simple failure against passive AH. Also likely that DP could be spent in some fashion depending on first set of rolls) Know Your Opponent(Cunning)-Ser Lewyn Appleton: 4d6 13PR: 14 AR: 10 Health: 9/9 I/W/F: 0/0/0 Superior Destrier Full Plate

Ser Lewyn is not overly known for any particular style of jousting, he is simply quite good at it.

It was over quick, far too quick and left Thaddeus on the ground stunned for a moment. He lay still for a few moments trying to gather both his breath and wits before sitting up to survey his surroundings. Shaking his head gently, he tried to recall exactly what happened in the match but it all seemed a bit murky. We were charging hard and the next I recall I'm laying in the dirt, suffice to say I lost this round.
He took an offered hand and climbed to his feet, politely bowing to Ser Lewyn as expected but keen eyes would note that the smile on his face never came close to reaching his eyes. I'll deliver the prick his due coin this evening with a smile and hope to see him across a melee field in the future...mayhaps with a hammer by my side. He slowly departed the field for his tent, some wine and a short rest. (Decided to just going with quick resolve and hoped for a few good rolls that I could influence.1 out of 2 ain't bad... but its also not good enough) TT-Appleton-Deception Quick Resolve TN 13: 5d6k4 17 1 DoS TT-Appleton-Charge Quick Resolve TN 24: 4d6k3+5 13 Critical Failure TT-Appleton-Ride Quick Resolve TN 19: 4d6k3+2 18 Simple Failure A humiliating defeat, gain no points, you must pay ransom for your horse and armor(-13000 SS from Thaddeus/House Levalle, +13000 to Ser Lewyn Appleton). I will leave it to Father to fill in any details he desires about the loss(could be a showoff action for Ser Lewyn perhaps).

Ser Lewyn smugly claims the prize of a lady's favor, pleased with himself for having put the scion of a house full of false knights, a lordship granted for murky services rendered to scheming Unwin Peake during the dance. Hopefully they would scheme themselves into ruin in the times to come.
