Mikel does not only find himself up against one of the best swordsmen of The Reach, but also one wielding a Valyrian blade, a most challenging combination, Lord Owen is upon him with Orphan-Maker in hand to take iniative almost instantly.
Owen Roxton: CD: 13 Health: 14 AR: 10 Initiative: 6d6k4-2 15Uses famed Valyrian Longsword for +1 damage, piercing +2 Maneuver+Attack: 2#8d6k5+2 27 261 DoS on maneuver so +5 damage. 3 DoS on attack, so 3*7+5-11=15 damage. Reminders to self: -First Blood conditions: If all characters involved in a combat scenario wields suitable weapons (such as longswords) and it is appropriate for the scene (tourney contest, duel of honor) they may by mutual agreement invoke first blood conditions. Under these, all parties have doubled health, but may not take injuries or wounds, the consequences of defeat are always yield/forfeit.. -Fatigue not available.

Health: 3/24 CD: 14 (9 from Reckless this round) AR: 11 Mikel knew without conscience thought that another hit like that and he'd be bowing out of the melee. He knew that Owen Roxton was good and he was using an exceptional sword. So Mikel put everything he could into a single slash, and knew in another heartbeat the matter would be decided one way or another. [P4 Appleton Melee] Mikel v. Owen Roxton - Rd 1 Attack - Aim + Reckless Attack (Talented, Superior Bas. Sw.): 9d6k6+2 30 4 DoS = 24 dmg - 10 AR = 14 DMG OOC: If its up to me him yielding is perfectly fine! Also, is this the luckiest Mikel has ever been?

In a real battle, Mikel would likely be punished for exposing himself like so, Lord Owen might have fought harder, and in Battle Valley, Mikel would found himself pushed to the ground and never gotten himself up, perhaps the early skirmishes in a war in The Reach, chivalry might yet be strong enough for the raging chaos of the melee part ways for two knights to duel in person without interference, honor might even see the defeated to find his way to the back of the enemy lines to wait out the resolution of the battle as if war itself is but just another grand tournament.
In a tournament, Lord Owen simply yields without any fuss.
