Just a quick note, due to a completely unrelated conversation, I realized I had shorted myself the +2 CD from Blood of the Rhoyne in the gauntlet but had also not accounted for AP correctly. My agility test was reduced by 1 to no change, but BoR put me up to the top category and an extra 1D; that netted me 1 additional DoS. Ultimately a difference of just 1 more health coming out of the gauntlet.

***I'll be the guinea pig*** In all cases, the following applies: -First Blood conditions. -Damage taken by going through the Gauntlet reduces maximum health (so starting and maximum health=2*Normal Health-Damage taken) -Fatigue not available. -Any damage taken does not carry over into the final scene (only damage taken in the gauntlet counts for the next scene, this is just a sorting mechanic). Option 2: Survival of the fittestFace off against an enemy with the following stats: -CD 12 -AR 10 -Attack: 4D+2B+2 -Damage: 6 4+2+2 4+2+3 5+1+2 5+2+2 5+2+3 5+3+2 5+3+3 6+2+2 -Named character acts first. -Enemy will use aim+attack each round. -At the end of each round, the enemy gains +1 attack. -Each time this bonus reaches +2, it is converted into +1 specialty rank -If the number of specialty rank exceeds the amount allowed based on ability dice, two specialty ranks are converted into an ability rank. Scoring is done as follows: -Each round passed without defeat: +3 points. -Each point of damage inflicted: +1 point. -Each full 12 points of damage inflicted: +12 points. I was going to wait and challenge one of the three NPCs, but to be honest given Davos' condition he's not likely to win that, so why drag things out? I may as well get cut the fast way. Thanks to Balon for being the guinea pig and giving me a structure to start from. Davos's StatsCD: 14 (11[attributes] -3[sup. full plate] +4 [large shield] +2[Blood of the Rhoynar]) HP: 11 (2*12 - 13 damage from gauntlet) AR: 10 F/I/W: 0/1/0 Details in the spoiler. Okay, the idea was to whittle down the field to a manageable amount of characters but the NPC's just crowds out everyone and that is no fun. I think we'll have "semi-finals" with: Aubrey Manfryd Preston Normyn Redtusk Owen +PC's who get 90+ score (Aemon being the cutoff, may throw in him anyway if we want semi-finals to be a set of 1v1) or challenges one of those six and beats them to claim their spot.

So what we have:
Into the finals: Redtusk: -8 Health, 1 injury Manfryd Grimm, -5 health Normyn: -5 health Owen Roxton: -10 Health Preston Oakheart: -4 Health Aubrey Ambrose: -6 Health If needed to fill out the field: Aemon Flowers: -9 Health
PC's: Davos Balon Daeron Roland
Pending resolution: Mikel Robyn Addam (Probably opting out).
If Addam skips it, we're probably looking at 12 participants (Aemon can be tossed in to fill out that number), gut reaction says 3 groups of 4 or 2 groups of 6. Some of the original teams may have more than 2 in them?

I did choose Option 1, as posted here, but I am unsure as to whether or not Fireball is still an available to challenge. If so, should I make a separate thread with that duel?

Separate thread probably better, have to pick an NPC that made the cut for dueling.

Going to pick option 1 because, maybe it's been too long, but the dice rolling on option 2 seems complicated.
Did I miss the list of three NPCs who are eligible?

Things changed a little bit, so there's a larger group of NPC's to pick from:
Redtusk: -8 Health, 1 injury Manfryd Grimm, -5 health Normyn: -5 health Owen Roxton: -10 Health Preston Oakheart: -4 Health Aubrey Ambrose: -6 Health
Mikel got more DoS so picks before Robyn.

I'm not particularly drawn toward anyone and somewhat randomly have come to rest my decision on Owen Roxton.
Create a new thread for it?
