Lord Roxton or Ser Quentyn Ball, gets a rougher run than expected but pulls through regardless, while Ser Preston Oakheart puts in an impressive performance in the early stages. The field does thin out once those competing for sport and fun are on their way out. Uhm..assists are +X to test result, not +X DoS.
Also, I do not see your assist bonuses?

If so, the field looks like: NPC's: Redtusk, Grimm, Normyn, Fireball, Roxton, Preston, Aubrey PC's: Davos, Balon, Robyn, Daeron, Roland, Mikel 13 is too high a number for a single scene, so probably going to split up PC's according to team and then supplement with NPC's (possibly add few of the ones who'd otherwise bow out and some random secondaries as needed to make things interesting).

It's early for me so maybe I'm missing something but why would Walgrave drop (-6 HP) but Fireball and Owen stay (-8 HP and -10 HP respectively).

Because they are better fighters than him. Mostly me considering to have NPC's bow out of the scenes to make things more managable. Willem wouldn't withdraw like that either.

(On the fly mechanic to whittle down the field).
3 NPC spots in the final, all PC's scoring higher than NPC #4 also gets to take place in the final.
In all cases, the following applies: -First Blood conditions. -Damage taken by going through the Gauntlet reduces maximum health (so starting and maximum health=2*Normal Health-Damage taken) -Fatigue not available. -Any damage taken does not carry over into the final scene (only damage taken in the gauntlet counts for the next scene, this is just a sorting mechanic).
Option 1: Climatic Duel -You may challenge one of the 3 NPC's to a one on one duel, taking their spot if victorious. -In case of multiple challenges against the same NPC, the one with highest total DoS on The Gauntlet is given preference (total result being tie-breaker).
Option 2: Survival of the fittest Face off against an enemy with the following stats: -CD 12 -AR 10 -Attack: 4D+2B+2 -Damage: 6
-Named character acts first. -Enemy will use aim+attack each round. -At the end of each round, the enemy gains +1 attack. -Each time this bonus reaches +2, it is converted into +1 specialty rank -If the number of specialty rank exceeds the amount allowed based on ability dice, two specialty ranks are converted into an ability rank.
Scoring is done as follows: -Each round passed without defeat: +3 points. -Each point of damage inflicted: +1 point. -Each full 12 points of damage inflicted: +12 points.
