The Goose is quick on her feet, though Addam has longer legs, in a fair contest, she could never hope to outrun him, so instead she darts into the throng of people to throw him off her trail, spending precious moments getting sight of her again which she uses to take back a bit of distance lost. To neutral observers it might seem like a juvenile lover's game unfit for such a refined company.
Chase mechanics: She starts as +1 advantage as the Quarry, first to +3 wins. Wild Goose Chase: 3d6 12 vs Addam's 15, Addam gets +1 advantage. So 1-1. Let's try something different, stealth is fun.: 6d6k3 12-Beats Addam's passive awareness, so cancels Addam's advantage, so 0-1. Have to get away though: 3d6 14-Addam needs 15 to gain the advantage this round. -Addam can at any point forego his roll for an audience TN 9 test (modify by chivalry) to call in a number of guards equal to his DoS to give chase.

As entertaining, or frustrating this game might turn out to be, the goose runs out of places to hide, and Addam can finally seize her by the arm, though she nearly had made it all the way out of the hall where she might have escaped into the courtyard with a great many places to disappear and routes by which to evade her pursuer and shed her costume to blend in with the servants. Hiding: 6d6k3 9 Fail 2-2 Hiding: 6d6k2 11 And Fail. 3-2

The chase was done and the game was caught. Following the Goose's path out of the hall, Addam was sure to pull the ring containing the assassin's poison from her finger. before presenting his prey to the guards.
Dragging the women to the nearest guard, "It seems this wench seeks sullen this affair with my death. If it weren't for her clumsiness, the poison would have ended up in my wine instead of my face. She is Lord Fossoway's prisoner now, but I demand to be present when you find out why she whats to end my life."

The guards doesn't question Addam when the woman is a nobody. She seems resigned to her fate as they take her away, whether Addam follows or goes back to the party, one of the guards are sent to fetch him to the maester hoping that some of that poison might still be on Addam's face, mask or clothes, very interested in how it felt. The maester is red faced and breathing heavily from exertion, Addam can see bloodstains on his robes and hands, the worst of it removed, but it was fiendishly difficult to get rid of. Whether what irritated Addam's skin would make blood pour from one's mouth or that blood was from some other foul deed is unclear. But Addam catches the smell of vomit as a servant carries a bucket to a window to send the contents into the moat below. The maester's interest in the poison would suggest that it had been successfully poured into the cup of another. Either that or there were even more such villainy afoot.
And the sounds of merriment from the ignorant and careless echoes up through the staircase and into this antechamber of The Stranger.
