A little over halfway up the wall, shouts from a nearby tower and the sound of a bell betrays discovery. For Davos and the group peering out at the few burning lanterns at the buildings on top of that dark silhouette, the bell chimes, somewhat faint at this distance and the sight of one torch after another being lit is ominous and far too soon.
No, no rolling of things after turn 8, because of chance test. I'll read 2, 3 ,4 as 6, 7, 8. Rolls after this doesn't count. Status end of turn 4: Mikel: 9 yards up. Robyn: 8 yards up. Chance: 2d6 3 Uh, oh. Response: 1d6-4 -2 Lucky you. You now get to do one turn of actions (with new roll), then we'll see if someone shows up at the top of the wall to cut ropes. Could climb down if you like.

"MIKEL!" Robyn whisper shouts to his friend, "We have to get back to Davos, NOW!" He looks at how much they had left to climb and lets out a deep sigh. There was no way he could climb all that this quickly, so instead, he decided heading back down the grapnel was the best option. "Damned guards and their eyes," he muttered to himself as he moved quickly, gloves sliding down the rope as he repelled as quickly as he could. TToWS: Challenge 2 Athletics (Climb) Climbing down Rope: 4d6 13 1 DoS, so down to 7 Yards off the ground.

They had taken their time and carefullyade their way to the wall without so much as a snapped twig. After throwing the grapple they waited a few heartbeats before deciding nobody had heard it and then Robin gave Mikel a boost to begin his climb. Despite his recent practice Mikel still hated ropes. And when he was over half way up amd he heard an alarm go off, he really, truly and deeply, hated that rope. He had to give it to the guard, he was doing his job. He must have caught the movement of their climb from the corner of his eye, turned to face them directly and lost them, then gone back to using his periphal vision. A pair of shadows slightly off color to the wall shrouded in the dark of night was all he had to go on and he felt sure enough to raise the alarm. That or he may not have even seen them and was just jumpy with a small army 150 yards outside the walls. Either way Robin was just beneath him and if Mikel began descending he might well end up tangling the two of them together. He also thought, in a single breath, that ue was over half way there and it would ve a shame to have done all that rope climbing for nkothing. He should climb down but instead risking their tangle, or waiting for space, he figured he might as well keep going. Even if he just got a peek he might see something that Davos could exploit. Besides just because the alarm sounded doesnt mean the guards knew where to run, and the tower who spotted them might only be manned by a single guard who has to stay in his post to continue observing, while directing others to the exact and single spot on the wall he and Robyn dangled from. "Keep going, Im right behund you. If I say to jump, do it." And up he went. P3-TToTWS-alarm rd 1 (climb): 4d6 [/b] 3 DoS makes it 12 yards

Mikel makes good pace, he hears shouts and the bells as the garrison is mobilizing, shuffling of feet as the men are assembled, others surely are taking up positions as sentries along the walls. There is no torchlight directly above him, yet.
Status end of turn 5: Mikel: 12 yards up. Robyn: 7 yards up. Response: 1d6-4 -3 Still lucky.

Robyn wasn't that attentive to what Mikel was doing, he was mostly focused on getting as close to the ground as possible. After managing to slide down the next 3 yards, it was then that he looked up and saw his friend climbing further up the rope. He let out a long sigh, "Don't get yourself killed!" he cursed under his breath at himself for not having the gumption to follow him further up the rope, but he wasn't about to disobey his uncle, and Davos was clear: abandon the rope, and help him command. P3-TToTWS-alarm rd 2 (climb): 4d6 1814 yards up. Mikel kept climbing and he was nearly at the top. The torches werent above him yet and he while everything he heard sounded too close, nothing sounded above him just yet.

Almost at the top, there is still no sign of anyone having yet arrived to cut the ropes.

(Would it take a GA to signal Davos to come in or no?)

(Also, I just realized, could we have used a Destiny Point to theoretically pass the chance test?)

Mikel makes his way over the parapets, as do a few other brave souls, one comments sourly that they must all be waiting for them at the gatehouse.
-You could have done that, but too much water under the bridge now. -It's a GA to send the signal, but that's for the gates actually being open, if you were to send it now, the troops would charge forward to a gate that is closed to them to get picked off by waiting archers. Status end of turn 7: Mikel: On the walls. Robyn: 4(+/-?) yards up. Response: 1d6-4 -3 No guards yet. 16 yards for Mikel to reach the Gatehouse (on the presumption that Robyn is still chickening out.)

What can Mikel see as far as troop dispositions and layout?
Is this an opportunity to decide between make another stealth since their 'looking out' for approaching men instead of looking in for those having already infiltrated?
Critically: how many at gatehouse, and an idea how long it might take them to be reinforced?

You can extrapolate from the dices: At the start of each turn, I roll 1d6-4, once it comes out a 1 or 2 (5 or 6 on the die), then 1d4-1 is rolled at the start of each turn and those are the reinforcements when on the wall. Once at the gatehouse, 1d6 guards will come each turn (the 1d6-4 is treated as an automatic 5/6 by then).
So I can't really tell you exactly, only that IC, there obviously are men on the way that will find you eventually.
Right now Mikel can: A. Sprint to the Gatehouse, which would trigger that scenario, while the 1d6-4 test keeps going to see if someone arrives to ruin Robyn's day as he's climbing. B. Stay and assist Robyn (or fight off anyone who'd otherwise ruin his day).

Will choose option B. As there are a few of us can we assist by hauling him up, or no, assist as per previously mentioned?
Also, if guards come by can we try to decieve, as if we are all looking out for the threat?
Work was crazy todaybotherwise Id of posted earlier.
