Ser Balon Blackbriar vs. Ser Aubrey AmbroseBalon had intentionally spilled his wine during Ser Roland's speech and insulted the King by proxy. He knew there would be a challenge and he welcomed it. Whether he won or lost the duel was irrelevant. Things were coming to a boil and he was helping it happen. Soon tournaments would be replaced with battlefields and melees would be replaced with carnage. While initially surprised by Ser Aubrey's challenge Balon wasn't completely shocked. The knight held honor and chivalry in such high regard he'd duel anyone that broached it. No matter. On the field Balon sat atop Beast, his blood bay destrier. He had considered putting his horse in plate barding but decided against it considering Ser Aubrey would never stoop to something so low as attacking a horse. His horse was in a caparison colored in checkered yellow and Balon wore his golden plate. His shield bore his personal sigil and like all jousts he touched the part of his armor where his lucky charm rested against his chest. He saluted Ser Aubrey and waited for the signal to charge. ___________________________________________________________ Duel CD: 22 Passive Ride: 18 Superior Mount: +1 Large Shield: +4 Shield Mastery: +3 Standard Penalty: -4 To Hit Base: 6d6k4+4 Damage: 10/DoS (ANH+1, +2 Charge, +3 Destrier Strength) SiS: 6d6k4+1

Ser Aubrey knows equally well that the exchange of lances is to Balon's advantage, opting on a highly conservative charge, his own lance even fails to connect, but he gets by unscathed which is all that he aimed for. Gallantry does not forbid such pragmatism, he throws away the unbroken lance, ready to continue sword against sword. Ser Aubrey appears to take a wait and see approach. Or perhaps conserving his energy after the battering sustained in the melee. Counterattack: 7d6k5+3 27 2*6-10= 2 DamageManeuver+Cautious Attack: 9d6k5+3 27 9d6k4+3 21 5+6-10= 1 DamageCD: 17 (14) AR: 11 Health: 12

He did take 3 injuries. Maneuver -1D also affects CYB, eating away a DoS (fatigue also applies to those rolls, but doesn't affect the results as far as I can tell) LBF I: When making a fighting test using a long blade weapon, you may sacrifice any number of bonus dice, for each die sacrificed, you gain +1 to your combat defense and passive agility, athletics, fighting and endurance test results until the start of your next turn. The sacrificed bonus dice applies to all your fighting tests you make until the start of your next turn. TL:DR while the -1D did effect my CYB I forgot to add +3 meaning I get 1 HP back.
