The discussion Mikel had regarding Chivalry had stuck with him the past few days. He considered things each had said and weighed the words against his own personal beliefs. During these recollections his mind kept coming back to the Septon Abelar. Mikel had never met him, but already did not like him. Not for trying to kill Eldon, hed sooner dislike everyone in the Seven Kingdoms for not trying, but how he went about it was disasterous and unforgiveable. And had cost Mikel a well trained and much loved horse. And so with these thoughts reemerging again and again, after Mikel was annihilated from the jousts he decided the outcome could be worth while and sent for the Septon to meet him. He had also sent word to the others he shared the conversation woth feeling that they deserved the chance to be here. The location was a public place, but not one which would be crowded. Milel selected an area men would use to warm up their horses before the joust, and found a place against the surrounding fence to lean against while he waited.
[OOC: I figure after the second round of jousting just to make it happen a few days after the "Chivalry" talk would be sensible. ]

Septon Abelar couldn't remember ever meeting a Ser Mikel of Harroway, but after having spread the message of the Faith Militant far and wide, any knight requesting an audience was bound to receive one. He arrives in robes of white and black, a frayed and faded belt encircling his gaunt waist. Taking his cue from Mikel's appearance and demeanor, Abelar approaches. "Well-met, ser. I believe you sent for me?"

Trystane comes straight from the tourney fields, a little tender from his jousts but in good spirits, not suspecting that Mikel wanted him for anything more serious than a few drinks and some more philosophising - the latter being a common precursor or accompaniment to their sparring and riding.
Seeing Septon Abelar go ahead of him gives him pause, though only briefly. He too approaches, though only nods to Mikel to make his presence known, not wanting to interrupt the Septon's introduction.

"Thank you for coming Septon. We have never met but had come close I imagine as we had each been at the Black Tourney." Mikel's clothes were simple, blue top and black bottoms. His belt, scabbard, and boots - all black - were of good leather. "Since then I have heard your name with some regularity, in an infamous sort of way. I have not requested your presence to gossip but I would like to know why I have heard your name so often. I am inclined to believe what you say, if you are willing to say anything, will bring us right around to why we are here and I can take it from there." Mikel's tone was that of a casual conversation and while he may not have directly addressed the point of their meeting it suggested that this was not in fact going to be quite so casual a discussion.

"Well, ser, that is a bit of a complicated question. My name has been the subject of some controversy, trials, tribunals, and accusations." Septon Abelar strokes his chin. "I would say they all have the same cause: I am saying what nobody else will when it comes to the disgraceful conduct by many lords and ladies, the near-complete lack of bravery and virtue among the knightly class, and the need for the Faith to step forward and reassert its inherent authority in the face of these tribulations."

"The conduct of many are not in alignment with their oaths, and their concern is for there power and privilege and not the small folk which their position exists for. I cannot disagree with you though I will say it is not all of them. I will even go so far as to say that in some cases, their lack of action is done to preserve the small folk who depend upon them." It seemed unnecessary to say but Mikel said it as much to establish were he stood as to see how Abelar would respond. "I cannot comment on what you said about the church needing to step forward and reassert its authority though, because I am not quite sure what you mean it. Are you willing to clarify that for me?"
