If you have Athletics 4, damage should be 10 per DoS. Athletics + 1 (Boar Spear), +2 (Reckless), +1 (Pointed Shaft), +2 Set for charge.

+2 for Reckless only applies to people with the Fury Benefit. A benefit I do not possess.
*unless a rule has changed that I'm not aware of.

The boar is one of the biggest seen so far that day. It rears it's head, snorts a deep booming snarl, and charges straight at Balon. The Blackbriar knight is able to hit the beast with his boar spear easily enough, but the beast will not be stopped. It's two tusks pierce through the man's minimal padding, and lands a tremendous blow. A lesser man could have easily been killed on the spot. Balon vs. Boar - Initial Charge + Reckless vs. CD 5: 7d6k4 20 - 1 = 19 - 3 DoS 18 - 1 = 17 Damage [OOC: Stay away from my sister? ]

Balon had never been much of a hunter. Most of his time as Fireball's squire had been devoted to melee training and tactics. Skill with a blade matters. Strategic acumen matters. Leading men in battle matters. Stabbing animals with a pointy stick is for nobles and lords. Fireball's stern voice rang clear in Balon's mind. While all of his training had been valuable and appreciated he sometimes wondered if Ser Quentyn had focused too much on training future soldiers for Blackfyre's rebellion rather than training knights. No matter now. There'd be time to learn the finer points of being a lord after the war was won.
Balon had got a later start than other hunting parties, consulting with Whitegrove's Master of Hunt on the best places to find the largest boars. As he made his way out another group relayed what they'd heard about the Starling's party adventure. Wildfyre's perfect strike against a mammoth boar. Lord Starling's struggle to defeat his quarry. Suspicion over a defective spear. Balon patted Legacy on his waist. Good thing I'm bringing you along.
As Balon made it deeper into the woods he came to the glade the Master of Hunt had suggested. Supposedly there were a lot of truffles and wild walnut trees in the area that helped the pigs grow big and fat. As he knelt at the boundary of the clearing he spotted a large boar with enormous tusks. At that moment Balon decided to find a knight that was good at hunting and learn a thing or two for the next hunt. Bringing up his locket he kissed it before tucking it under his padded armor. He knew he'd need a little luck for this fight.
Walking into the clearing he set his boar spear and made enough noise to get the beast's attention. After some grunts and snorts the beast charged. It's speed and size caught Balon by surprise and while he was able to stab at it, it wasn't enough to impale the beast. Running through Balon's strike the boar thrashed and bit, its tusks penetrating his padding and coming out red. For the briefest moment a bit of panic set in before Fireball's training kicked in and he subconsciously drew his longsword. Stumbling back Balon slashed and thrust keeping the pig at a manageable distance. With an animalistic fury the boar sprung at him and Balon held his sword straight out allowing the boar to impale itself with its own momentum.
The pig crashed into Balon and he brought his free arm up to defend himself but he realized the pig wasn't attacking. It spasmed several times before a long breath escaped out its snout. He could feel the monster's muscles go limp and the dead weight was crushing. With a grunt of effort he slowly pushed the beast of off him before standing up. Signalling for his hunting party to come over he pulled out a rag and wiped his sword off before wiping down his chest. An attendant handed him a second rag and Balon put it on his injury. He pressed tight to help slow the flow of blood.
"You'll need stitches ser. Milk of the poppy too I reckon." one said as the others began the process of tying the boar to a pole so they could carry it back to the castle.
"Milk of the poppy?!" Balon snorted in derision, "That's for women and dandies! What I need is a stiff drink and a woman to swoon over my kill!" He laughed and did his best to hide his discomfort. He wondered how much Laena would chastise him for this.

[OOC: Where is the +5 Damage from maneuver coming from? New changes that I don't know about? Or from a benefit?]
