Aerion had never seen such a crowd; not from the list itself. There wasn't a seat devoid of a cheering man or a wild woman. Hell, there were more women exposing themselves in the small folk area than at a brothel. Still, he wouldn't let himself get distracted. Today was the day he was going to defeat Blackfyre.
He had Tommen double check the straps of his armour, and after a few weight tests chose his lance from the rack. Mounting his Destrier, he rode forward until he was just inside the edge of his Pavillion.
The winds were calm, as if the gods themselves were holding their breath. Good. He wanted the Warrior to see his offering today. Aerion pressed his heels into the flanks of his mount and rode out to the increasingly loud throng of the audience. His opponent came out before him, and they gestured to one another in respect.

Ser Daemon looks as splendid as the tales upon his destrier, although many others might match him in pageantry, precious few could back up the visuals with deeds the way Aerion's opponent can. He did face defeat at Highgarden, so unbeatable he is not.

Caution or no, Ser Daemon appears to be considerably stronger.
PR 23 AR 10 Health 15 Daemon N: 7d6k5+5 29 7d6k5+1 27 5d6 132 DoS for 11*2/2-10=1 damage, CyB makes that go away.

Aerion will shrug off the hit as best he can, before turning back and setting himself for another charge.
Will use same tactics. Spend a DP to give -1D if it would cause him to win (likely on Daemon's SiS roll). SF - Pass 1 - N + EF + D3 + Pious vs. PR 23; SIS; CyB: 7d6k5+5 20 6d6k4+1 16 4d6 17Not looking good for Aerion...

Ser Aerion holds respectably against his more renowned brother, but fails to seize any sort of initiative. Daemon N: 7d6k5+5 24 7d6k5+1 21 5d6 15PR 23 AR 10 Health 15 3-0 to Daemon in DoS. It's generally helpful to post the PR with each new post so there's no need for scrolling. Not that far off from a DP induced critfail on the lancing.

Aerion wonders if playing defense is the best method here, but he's lasted longer than a lot of other men, so he maintains the course for now. SF - Pass 3 - N + EF + D3 vs. PR 23; SIS; CyB: 6d6k4+5 25 6d6k4+1 19 4d6 11PR: 21 (24 Current) AR: 10 F/I/W: 0/0/0 Health: 12/12

Defense might be wise indeed, so deep into the tourney, tired heads and tired arms might slip and the tip of the lance fail to hit it's mark.
PR 23 AR 10 Health 15 Daemon N: 7d6k5+5 22 7d6k5+1 20 5d6 133-1 to Daemon in DoS. But spend a DP to give him -1D and that's a 19 vs 24 meaning critical miss and bye-bye Daemon.

If I win by spending a DP then consider it done!

So rare that many knights go for years, perhaps their whole lives, without seeing any, such moments as would have been missed if one blinked at the wrong time. One such moment comes in the third pass for Aerion, he sees where Blackfyre's eyes are fixed, where the lance will come before it is properly couched, it is far from easy to twist away and angle one's shield in such a fashion as to make that lance glance across without breaking and a less skilled jouster than Aerion would not have succeeded. A less skilled jouster than Aerion would likely not have succeeded at breaking his lances and keeping his seat.
The crowd falls silent as it dawns upon them what just happened, then the sounds of shock and awe spreads, and then the thunderous sound of clapping, cheering would be an inappropriate response to a lance that misses it's mark, however skillfully evaded, it takes quite a while before the noise dies down enough for Ser Roger Wode to declare that Ser Aerion Flowers is awarded the victory by the count of broken lances. Ser Daemon it seems, is not entirely invincible. And the Reachmen will take the grand prize as they had predicted all along.

Aerion watches in almost slow motion as his lance lifts Blackfyre from his saddle and launches him through the air. Ser daemon's lance didn't even have a chance to hit Aerion before the man was moving backwards. The hushed silence following the audience collectively gasping lasts only as long as Daemon is in the air, but as he lands the crowd erupts in applause. Aerion finds himself at the center of it all, and has never felt better. He looks down at his opponent for a moment, before dismounting and offering him help up.
"You truly have the Warrior's strength. May it be guided in good faith in your battles to come." he says with nothing but respect. It would be hard for anyone other than Daemon to hear over the din of the crowd. "If you have the time, I would be honoured by your company for drinks later this evening."
In the wings, his squire Tommen is running around jumping in excitement, not knowing what to do with himself.
Crit failure from Rules of Joust as unhorsing. Can edit if he's not actually unhorsed (not explicit from your post).

Crit Failure on the fighting is just failing to break it, he gets 18 on stay in saddle with the -1D which is more than enough to keep his saddle.
