CD at 17 implies fatigue spending which also must be declared each time.

Said I was going to keep it last time, but I'll explicitly mention it going forward.

Olyvar holds his shield up and aims well.
CD: 14 (11) Health: 12 AR: 10 Olyvar aim+cautious: 9d6k4+1 25 2*7-10=4 damage

something in Aerion snaps, and he attempts to push the man down and away with his own shield. Proving unsuccessful without the leverage afforded to him from being standing on his own feet, he lets out his frustration by slamming his sword on the opponents shield so hard that it splinters in the man's hands.
[Of course he gets max rolls... Isn't there a limit (although in the case it doesn't matter) of 2x Test dice for total dice rolled?] Phase 2 - vs. Ser Olyvar - Smash Shield + 1D Pious - vs. TN 14: 8d6k6-1 27 - 3 DoS3*7= 21 Damage, shield should be gone. Phase 2 - vs. Ser Olyvar - Maneuver - vs. TN ?: 7d6k5-1 17 - Assuming Failure** Keeping CD up through fatigue if attacked. CD: 14 (11) Health: 4/12 AR: 10 F/I/W: 2/0/0 **Although this thread greatbastards.boards.net/post/20264 implies that Fighting 5 is better than Olyvar has, which leads one to think he has fighting 4, his rolls suggest he has at least a few test dice along with Fighting 5, so presumably maneuver fails.

With his shield gone, Lord Yronwood makes a quick one-handed jab to Aerion's left, before grasping the sword in both hands and delivering a powerful blow at the opening created by his little diversion.
Fighting 5 it is indeed. CD: 13 (7) Health: 12 AR: 10 Distract+cautious attack: 4d6 20 8d6k4+1 21Success means Aerion loses awareness from CD, so vs 11 it's 3 DoS, +1 damage from two handed is 3*8-10=14 damage Takes fatigue to ignore AP if attacked.

I think you're missing his penalties from taking fatigue. and for the sake of clarity, can you put where all his bonus dice come from?

He hasn't taken any fatigue, he'll take his first now if Aerion attacks him, so it only applies afterwards. He's got 5D+3B Fighting, Long Blades, -1b for bastard sword, +1b for Aerion being prone.

Knowing he has to go for broke, he throws caution to the wind and with a gutteral growl, drops his shield and swings his sword at the man's helmet with both hands. Last round vs. Lord Olyvar - Reckless + Aim vs. TN 13: 9d6k6-5 23 - 3 DoS Base damage 6 + 1 Prone + 2 Adaptive (powerful) = 9 x 3 = 27 17 damage through after AR. If he doesn't yield from this, Aerion will if he takes another hit.

Lord Yronwood throws down his sword in surrender, too proud to truly apologize, but his yield proves him wrong.
At 1/12 and 4 injuries, he yields.

Aerion struggles to get to his own feet, refusing to give Lord Yronwood the satisfaction of knowibg how close he had come to giving in. He knows that if he tried to bend down and pick up his discarded shield, he'd likely fall over, he opts to leave it behind.
"For the honour of Ashara! He says to anyone watching, using the last of his breath. He then walks off to find a master to mend his injuries.
