Trystane's last ditch effort almost works, but almost is never quite enough, and in return, Ser Titus takes advantage of the opening created to slash where it hurts.
Beating the TN (17) is 1 DoS, for every additional 5 you beat the TN with is anther DoS, so 22-17=5 means exactly 2 DoS, damage is Athletics+2 for weapon +1 for prone, is 6 per DoS, is 12, so 1 after AR. Also, you start with 6k4, -1b from training+1b from aim+1b from prone+1D is in sum +1D+1b for 8k5, for interest of speeding up I'll take the liberty of rolling those for you: +2b: 2d6 10, making it 26 (still 2 DoS), CD: 17 (12) AR: 11 Health: 6/12 Aim+cautious+LBF I (-2b): 6d6k4+1 16 is 3 DoS vs 5 for 6*3-10=8 damage goes through. At this point it doesn't really look like Trystane can win this, so might consider yielding.

[Would taking an Injury or wound help, or is that pointless? He hasn't tried to stand yet so I thought maybe that evened things out a bit.]

You're out of health, so you have to take injury to continue, but the calculus there is that with -5 from fatigue and injuries, the most you can get with reckless is 25 which is just 2 DoS and 1 damage and at 5 CD you can expect to be taking 3/4 DoS hits for 8/14 damage. Distract with -5 (+1D from him being prone) would give you a theoretical chance of forcing injury on him, but that chance is so slim by my calculation that it might be considered honorable to yield, you *might* be able to make him go into the quarter finals with injuries.
Wounds wouldn't help, one of those would shut down any chance you had.

Fuck. I guess that's it then.
Taking an Injury to stay conscious and yielding.
CD:10 (base) AR: 10
Health: 3/12
F/I/W: 4/1/0
His blow connects, but not quite where he had aimed for, as Titus takes advantage of the opening left by Trystane's reckless overhead swing and strikes upward, catching Trystane squarely in the side. Steel bites flesh just above Trystane's hip, and it is only his sideways momentum with the angle of Titus' blade that keeps it from going much deeper. His own sword just scrapes uselessly across Titus' pauldron, before he uses that arm to catch his balance, keeping him from falling completely flat on the ground, instead just sinking to one knee, propped up by sword and shield.
"I yield!" Trystane growls through gritted teeth, hating every syllable.
Why did it have to be this fucking match? Now his insufferable brother is going to make a fucking song & dance of it!
