When he heard his next opponent he knew that Ser Roger had his revenge. He wasn’t surprised of course. His actions had consequences and he was going to get knocked out of the tourney, the best he could do was to make a good showing. Saluting Blackfyre, Lady Johanna, and Lord Butterwell, he lowers his lance, wincing at the pain as it sits on his wounded shoulder, and charges forward.

Ser Daemon breaks his lance, but little more in the opening tilt, but he keeps his seat with ease.

Despite his surprisingly good pass, he didn’t want to get cocky, knowing that jousts were more than just one pass, but he does allow himself to open up a little bit. Despite this, he is unable to land any blows against his skilled brother.

The disparity between their lance work was like night and day, or ice and fire. Daeron’s wobbling lance failed to even strike Ser Daemon’s shield, while his own was struck by a powerful and precise blow that shook his entire body. If not for his exceptionally good seating he would have suffered the familiar consequences of being propelled into the dirt.
Just like that though, his time in the joust was over, but there was no shame in losing to a friend and talented jouster like Ser Daemon. Giving him a salute, he leaves the fields head high and secretly relieved that he didn’t have to keep jousting with his injuries.
