Something does not appear right with Redtusk's charger, the man must engage in a duel of wills with his horse as the Fossoway steed snaps after the squire carrying the shield and tourney lance. It is as if the horse views everything as it's enemy. For an ordinary horseman, this might prove too much of a challenge, but Ser Roland Redwyne is no ordinary horseman and man conquers beast to ride at Ser Arlan of Pennytree, a Riverlander tourney knight of some renown as if everything is as it should be, which is to say that Ser Arlan finds himself unhorsed without having given his opponent much trouble at all. The Horse does not calm down no matter what his rider tries, continuously attempting to throw him off, and had Redtusk been an ordinary horseman, the steed would probably have succeeded, and given it's inclination to bite and kick at any who approaches, it probably would have trampled the poor rider underfoot. Instead, Ser Roland mostly keeps in control over the beast until it tires out and ultimately forced into Lord Butterwell's strongest stable where Redtusk might climb out unscathed.
-Redtusk needs to make an Animal Handling TN 9 test each round, suffering a number of penalty dice on that round equal to 4-DoS scored. He must also succeed a stay in saddle test per round of TN 15 (penalty dice not applying), -3 per DoS. -I'll throw up a special event for reactions. Ser Robb Reyne needs two tilts to unhorse Ser Selmond Westbrook, dodging the second lance of his foe as well. Lord Lancel Cuy breaks three lances against Lord Lannister, but is unhorsed on the third tilt nontheless. Ser Myles Blanetree is no match for Marq Durwell, being thrown off his saddle in the first tilt without so much as hitting his opponent with the lance. Ser Terrence Harlton misses his second lance and when trying to make back what he has lost against Lord Willem Starling, he is swept out of his saddle. Ser Sebaston Rowan is given a surprising amount of resistance from Ser Abelar Hightower, though the Rowan champion is clearly the more capable, twelve lances are broken before Ser Abelar finally misses on his seventh, he last until the ninth tilt before finally finding himself on the ground, having broken seven of his lances. Lord Vardis Mallister fails to break his first lance against Ser Dennis Hightower, in his attempt to take back victory, he is unhorsed on the third tilt. Ser Sandor Daverhyl needs two passes to send Ser Humfrey Harding to the ground. Ser Brandon Blackwood and Ser Franklyn Frey breaks all their lances, with little to separate them, Ser Franklyn is awarded the victory but Ser Brandon challenges him for it, the match deemed sufficiently close that the crowds do not begrudge him the opportunity. Evenly matched jousters they may be, but Ser Brandon is by far the better swordsman and proves it for all to see. Ser Karyl Vance initially looses the lead against Ser Gareth the Gray but successfully claws back the difference by taking on a more aggressive style, which he opts to continue knowing that his opponent is superior with the sword, but it is he who pays the prize of extra risk by falling off in the eight tilt. Ser Roland Crakehall appears much the stronger horseman than Ser Jonothor Wellbeck so the latter changes tactics in the hope of getting a swordfight, only he ends up on the ground, however. Ser Quentyn Ball needs only a single pass to unhorse Lord Deremond Darry. Ser Manfryd Grimm likewise dispatches Ser Dunstan Terrick with ease. Lord Owen Roxton rides well against Ser Aemon Flowers, but the newlywed Great Bastard seizes the initiative by creative riding, forcing his opponent to change tactics and that makes Ser Aemon the victor. Ser Norren Wythers goes five tilts against Ser Horas Redwyne before unhorsing his opponent. For nine tilts does Ser Patrek Florent and Ser Preston Oakheart break their lances against one another and keeps their seats, Ser Preston appears to hold the lead, but with stellar performance, Ser Patrek claws back to be awarded the victory, but not by enough to prevent a challenge from the heir to Old Oak. The clash of swords appears first to be to Ser Patrek's advantage, a slightly more skilled swordsman, but Ser Preston then proves himself the cleverest, piercing Ser Patrek's defenses and drawing first blood to claim the victory. Lord Walgrave Oakheart and Ser Loren Lannister goes for six rounds of breaking their lances until the lion misses cleanly on the seventh and the Lord of Old Oak withstands the pressure his opponent piles on to secure the victory.
