Wild Wyl Waynwood is unpredictable, his horsemanship is not his strongest suit, and sometimes he compensates for this by going on the defense, other times he is known to apply the "Wildfyre"-style of all out offense to have both jousters end up on the ground and have the match decided by sword in hand, and Trystane should have no illusions about being one of the few men capable of matching his speed and strength with a sword.

Ser Wyl came perilously near losing his seat at the first pass, then only barely just broke his lance at the second. The crowd cheered lustily, the Valeman and Dornishmen were giving them a fine match indeed! The tourney master judged matters to be an honourable draw, although Trystane was close to being declared the outright victor. Both knights would progress to the next round, and Ser Wyl would be denied the chance to remind the crowd of his potency with a blade. A few grumbled afterwards that the match had ceased when it was only getting going. After all, Ser Wyl would have soon had to alter his tactics or risk defeat. But, some sage observers noted, Ser Trystane might seek a decisive blow of his own to avoid the risk of both men being dismounted and having to face the champion Valeman with a sword. Perhaps the crowd would get its wish in a later round or at some future tourney and see the matter decisively resolved. PR: 17 AR: 10 Health: 12/12 v Trystane P1-3 N+Braced;SiS;CyB: 3#7d6k4+3 25 17 22 3#5d6k3+4 14 20 16 3#6d6k4 18 18 18- 2 DoS for Ser Wyl, 4 DoS for Ser Trystane.

Actually no, rules have changed as per tourney format post, one must fall, and as Wyl Waynwood is starting to lag behind, his calculus changes: Time to go wild? 1=no: 1d3 2Meaning Heightened Stakes and all out offense. Someone's going to get thrown off their horse. (Barring Trystane critfails his lance, then he'll be back to bracing).

[OOC: sorry, I thought we were still in -
"During the first three rounds, a draw means that both jousters may usually proceed as there are always some who cannot continue despite winning, if one jouster achieves 3 more DoS over his opponent, he is awarded the victory (and wins the ransom), in which case his opponent is typically eliminated."]

Both knights struck true, but only the Dornish man retained his seat. Ser Wyl's aim was only a little astray, but this was enough for a horseman of Trystane's finesse to remain in the saddle. A famous bout with a worthy end! v Trystane P4-6 N, HiS,Ag3,HS;SiS;CyB: 3#7d6k4+10 30 30 27 3#5d6k3-2 12 16 13 3#6d6k4 22 21 19PR: 17->14 AR: 10 Health: 12/12

Trystane cannot deny that Wyl Waynwood has given him a challenge. With each pass, he had grown more tense, sure that any moment, his opponent would tire of hedging his bets and take them both to the ground, where Trystane knew he would be at a disadvantage. However, while he is right about Wyl's change of tactics, he manages to brace enough to absorb most of the hit without being knocked over. The jolt from Wyl's lance is significant, but luckily just slightly off angle enough that his own momentum is used against him. He clatters to the ground, but is quickly confirmed to be unharmed.
Trystane salutes his defeated opponent with high praise, acknowledging a well-fought tilt. The crowd seem to have enjoyed this match of his the most, so Trystane indulges in a single victory lap before trotting off to regroup, and to feed Flint the biggest apple he can find.
