His attempt at fancy lancework might not win him a helm today, but most likely a ransom all the same.

Ser Yohn had enough to contend with at home from his bickering nieces. It would not do to be cast down early at Whitewalls whether he was facing a prodigy or not. It was not the type of great deed that wins crowns and shakes kingdoms, but quietly, skillfully, House Smallwood's regent broke three lances and kept his seat. After three passes he had kept he saddle, helm and made his men proud of him. The acorns on yellow of his house was scarred but still sturdy by the end of the match. Doubtless Titus could have driven him from the saddle if ridding purely to win, but such mattered little to the able knight. From these beginnings indeed. 5-1 in DoS means Titus is awarded the victory.
