Ser Mikel could have hoped for an easier opponent in this round, Ser Karyl is counted among the better jousters of the Riverlands.

A murmur began to go through the crowd as the local favourite Ser Karyl began an unexpectedly dramatic match with the unheralded hedge knight from the Reach. Many had allowed their attention to wander elsewhere, but already found themselves drawn to keenly follow this contest. After the first pass it was clear that both knights had placed solid blows, with Ser Karyl slightly ahead in the eyes of skilled judges. v Mikel P1 N,Brace;SiS;CyB: 5d6k3+4 16 6d6k4+4 25 4d6 12PR: 21 AR: 10 Health: 12/12 I/W/F: 0/0/0

Ser Karyl was a man for the lists and court, while Mikel was a man of the hedges, melees and battlefields. Unless destiny intervened, by the third pass the crowd would get what it wanted and see its local hero progress. v Mikel P1-2 N,Brace;SiS;CyB: 2#5d6k3+4 16 16 2#6d6k4+4 18 17 2#4d6 14 13PR: 21 AR: 10 Health: 12/12 I/W/F: 0/0/0

Mikel was unhorsed in the third pass. He took his time getting up and gave Ser Karyl a friendly salute as he collected himself and exited the field.
