[This scene would probably take place shortly after The Star Tribunal as Titus returns to Starpike.]
The Star Tribunal had been a drawn out event framed by blood and death, Ser Roland had fallen against the ruthless killer Ser Sandor Daverhyl and it would still be long until the news of his survival and recovery would reach Titus. But once the affair had been settled - Abelar stood vindicated and remained of the faith, a good and just ruling - he had returned to Starpike as swiftly as possible. He had learned of rumours regarding Master Harrot, a rich merchant in Lord Gormon's service and his connection to the vile Hooded Man said to have been the source of much of the discord at The Black Tourney. If his Lord unknowingly harboured such a villain under his roof he needed to know as soon as possible.
Arriving at Starpike Titus dismounts and heads straight for his Lord's solar where upon being received tells him everything he's learnt of Master Harrot and from what source he's learnt it. Wildfyre was a staunt supporter of the cause and Titus could see little reason why he would lie about such a thing.

Lord Gormon patiently listens and asks pointed questions to ensure that Titus leaves out nothing, then thanks him for his efforts and ensures his cousin that he will uncover all there is to know about this connection.
Status 6 means: Simple intrigue (convince), it's nothing to worry about: 6d6k5+4 16Not the best of rolls, but should clear Titus' ID.

Titus dutifully reveals all he knows, pleased that his Lord will look into the matter further.
"Can I aid you in this somehow, my lord?"

By vigilance, Lord Gormon offers, investigating matters is not a talent developed by hard training with lance and sword despite a propensity among knights to so believe. Far too many knights considered it their duty compelled by honor to take such matters upon themselves without even considering whether they might do more harm than good and again as great a number would fancy themselves as good as anyone else at it, regardless of experience in the field.
Far too many knights had taken far too many knocks to the head it would seem to Lord Peake.

Titus bows and unless his lord had more to say to him would retire to his quarters, the ride from Oldtown had been long and tiring. The following days he would frequent the marketplaces and inns of Starpike, being what his lord had asked - vigilant.
More for RP reasons than anything, Titus looking in to the matter while at Starpike Looking into Master Harrod - Knowledge/Cunning: 2d6 6 3d6 9Would raise either +2 with BotA if it makes a difference.

Harrot is probably the wealthiest commoner in Starpike, owning a manse in the better part of the town, although that mostly means that the houses are a little bigger, have an extra floor to overlook the rest, and stands on slightly higher ground so that all the filth and sewage are washed away with the rain so it doesn't smell all that bad. Rich enough to have his own guards who are paid enough to be more than just upjumped thugs, Rich enough to get a word with Lord Gormon when he likes, Rich enough to store his gold in Lord Gormon's vault. In Oldtown and Kings Landing, there would surely be scores of men such as he, more than a hundred perhaps, and he couldn't possibly be anywhere near the point where he might match the dowry of Saera of Lys and to have her brothers receive spurs.
