Ser Thoren Oldflowers was known as no more than capable, but certainly no less. Roland had seen the man joust at Highgarden and he seemed a solid knight whose family respected the crown's authority. know opponent Thoren Oldflowers: 5d6k3 13PR: 21 AR: 11 Health: 12/12 I/W/F: 0/0/0

Ser Thoren is a solid enough jouster, some of his caliber made it far at Highgarden, but mostly by lucky draw.

Hmm, let's go aim for shield and braced.

Roland flew down the lists like the Warrior himself, reaching his foe beyond the halfway point on the lists and striking Ser Thoren's helm clean off. It made for a dramatic sight, Roland having been able to fully commit to his strike having correctly anticipated his opponent's defensive approach. Ser Thoren rode as well as any man can be expected against Hammerhaal's estranged scion. He broke his lance and kept his seat yet lost his helm. And there is no dishonour is such such a loss.
Cheerfully he congratulates Roland, promising that he'll get him next time!
Whilst Ser Thoren's horsemanship seems more than stellar it is not enough for him to keep his seat, losing his balance when Roland plucks his helm from his head. He breaks his lance, yes, but merely on the shield of the Kingsbridge Companion, not enough to threaten the seasoned jouster. Cheerfully he congratulates Roland, promising that he'll get him next time! Roland has a strange impression of having experienced this before. Again.
PR: 18 Armour: 10 Health: 12/12 Edit because I messed everything up, just like mother always said I would.Ser Thoren Charge 1 (AfS, Brcd) v Roland - F/SiS/CyB: 6d6k4+2 21 6d6k4+3 21 4d6 17Dropping 1d6 on Charge: 1d6 1 - Dropping the 6, along with keeping 1 less die - New Charge roll: 13+2 = 15And your PR is 18 if I'm reading it correct so thats a Non-crit Fail on Charge and a Fail on SiS

[OOC: Mainly for the sake of consistency/checking my understanding, isn't the SiS roll a failure?
33 v PR 18 = 4 DoS = TN 18+4 (noble) = TN 22 to remain in the saddle?
He also has an extra rolled and kept dice on "Aim for Shield" as I think (!) training penalties and the charge penalty still applies here. Admittedly I might have been doing this wrong in other threads.
Not that I want to diminish Ser Thoren's heroics!]
