Ser Preston was well regarded by Prince Baelor Targaryen, and that was enough to place him high in Roland's esteem despite his difference's with Lord Oakheart. He raised his lance in salute to his opponent, familiar with the man's tactics from previous events. Still, against such a skilled knight anticipating your foe's strategy was only half the battle... Ser Preston is not quite as good as Ser Roland is in the joust, though that might be solely on account of his age.

At the blast of the trumpets, the two knights charge violently towards each other, Ser Preston's green mantle blowing majestically in the wind as his chestnut destrier thunders down towards Roland. Both men hit each other square in the chest, blows hard enough to send lesser knights flying yet both keep their seat to the joyous roars of the crowd. Two more times they rides, each one breaking their lance and keeping their seat. while Ser Roland rode with a mature and contained strength, one that only experience can grant, The Young Oak, much like his moniker proved powerful, tenacious and hard to break. After three broken lances no man could be determined the better. A fourth time the trumpets sound. Two more times they crash and prove themselves not only equal but amongst the greatest The Mander has to offer, on the fourth and fifth pass it seems as if Roland will uproot the young Ser Preston but as any Oakheart will tell you; Our Roots Go Deep. It is on the sixth pass Roland robs the crowd of a truly epic joust, for it is not by Ser Preston's weak horsemanship he loses his seat, no, few men could withstand such a blow, but from the precise placement of Roland's lance that Ser Preston is lifted high in the air before the lance snaps in a cloud of splinters and The Young Oak falls to the ground.
A loud "TIMBEEEEEER!!! can be heard from somewhere in the stalls followed by laughter and what appears to be a fist fight.
After six broken lances neither man seem to be tiring nor about to give in. The crowd has now gone from excited to wild, hoping for this to last the full nine rounds.

His PR should be 19? in which case 17 should suffice.

Roland sat the final three passes solidly, focusing on keeping his saddle. He was not at his absolute best until the very last, but perhaps his performance would be enough to merit a draw, or even unhorse his young challenger at the very last if they made it to the full nine passes! Original post was missing second two SiS and CyB rolls so rolled these and added them.]

The final three passes Ser Preston abruptly changes his tactics. In a desperate attempt to snatch the victory from Roland, who only requires a draw to remain a Champion, he begins to hammer his opponent in each pass, forgoing the finer jousting techniques that’s failed him thus far - unconscious men can’t keep their seats, seems to be his reasoning. They each break their last three lances but it is on the ninth and final pass the crowd gets the ending they want, nay, the ending they deserve. On that final charge, Roland's lance lifts Ser Preston high in the air before it snaps in a cloud of splinters and The Young Oak falls to the ground. A loud "TIMBEEEEEER!!!” can be heard from somewhere in the stalls followed by laughter and what appears to be a fist fight. Roland has a strange impression of having experienced this before.

Roland blinked back the strange sense of familiarity at the final pass, thankful that it had not distracted him. Ser Gurney had always told him to visualise success after all, seeing the manner of a foe's defeat and then making it a reality. Perhaps the strange feeling was simply making such come to pass?
The jest from the crowd prompted a smile from the normally uptight knight, but at least his helm hid any discourtesy from his opponent.
If anything, Roland was a little put out at the man striking aiming to wear him down rather than sweep him from the saddle. Still, the Prince thought well of the lad and he supposed such tactics were sometimes employed against a champion facing a long day in the saddle.
