Lady Johanna Peake, perhaps not the brightest of shining stars, but an attainable prize for Ser Daeron. Although her hand did not guarantee Whitegrove, the allure of a castle was hard for any man with the last name "Waters" to ignore. He planned on claiming her favor for himself, Cordwayners be damned. Ser Quentyn seemed a decent enough of a man, and most of his family had the right political leanings, but he stood between a dragon and its spoils. Despite his desire for immediate victory, he played it safe the first round. He wanted to know who Ser Quentyn was as a jouster.

The newly named Lord of Hammerhal salutes Ser Daeron before following his opponent in playing it safe, there would be another six passes after the first three for settling things.

Lord Quentin copies Ser Daeron's tactics, but his lance fails to connect with Daeron's shield and does not break, ending the man's run in the joust and leaving the Great Bastard the victor. Quentin N+HiS+D2: 5d6k3+6 166d6k4-2 184d6 14Ransom: Superior Full Plate Superior Destrier

Daeron is taken aback in confusion when the Kingsbridge boy doesn’t offer him another lance. He needed to step things up for round 4.
“You’ve won m’lord, congratulations!”
Won? But he’s still in his seat and it’s only been three rounds?
A smile crept along his face when he realized that it wasn’t a mistake. In what might have been his most uninspiring round of jousting ever, he defeated a talented tourney knight and the spoils of victory were his now. So excited with his win, he barely remembered to offer the proper formalities to the Butterwell hosts and Lord Cordwayner, before trotting Tidelord over to where Lady Johanna sat in the stands. Offering his arm to receive her favor he gave a friendly smile,
“My lady, take this joust as proof that I can be just as gentle and tactful as I can be strong.”

Lady Joanna does not appear to have thawed any, seemingly not very interested in this whole jousting and favor thing, but she does hand Daeron a ribbon.

He smiles, either unbothered or ignoring her chilly demeanor.
"Many thanks my lady, I hope to carry your favor all the way to the champion's dais."
+2 Disposition from Johanna (assuming she doesn’t go against the event mechanics?) +2 Chivalry, +2 Glory
