Ser Janos is not a name Ser Trystane has heard before, or any of his friends for that matter, a Riverland knight presumably, or at least so his family name would imply.

Ser Janos Goodbrook was not a famous jouster and for good reason. It only took the second round for him to lose his seat against Trystane's aggressive tactics.

Once his opponent is unhorsed and has picked himself up, Trystane approaches and gives him the handshake and sincere praise that he believes everyone who has the courage to try deserves, regardless of outcome, having known himself exactly what it was like to be in Ser Janos' place.
