Ser Symon cares not for tourney lances and first blood, he cares only for planting his lance in Ser Nestor's face, high in saddle, caution to the wind, the fury of his charge makes Ser Nestor brace himself for the impact, to no avail. Ser Symon's lance punches through the visor of Ser Nestor Flowers and gets stuck deep inside the man's skull. At least The Stranger would claim him in the very instant the steel connected, there was no pain. For the first time this day, his mother feels good, pleased, if only for a moment not long enough to bring forth as much as a hint of a smile. Let him wander the seven hells with his face destroyed, blinded, so all would know that this was Ser Nestor Flowers, the fool who had insulted her little girl. Laena makes sure she wears an appropriately shocked and horrified face at the brutality on display. None who see her reaction would see anything other than the expected reaction from a lady, hand over her mouth, covering her gasp.
One down...

They have the tempers of the Dornish and the wildness of the Northerners.
Ser Daeron's face is steely at the gruesome display of dominance. Had Ser Nestor not been some petty bastard, he doubted that Ser Symon would have been so bold to bury a lance in his face, nor was he convinced that murdering the man was an appropriate response. He doubted that Ser Nestor was the one behind his sister's murder. However, would Wildfyre have done anything different if faced with a man who insulted his house so? Probably not..

Roland stood beside his fellow Companion, watching the violent display impassively.
"Seven knows Ser Symon and I have had our differences, but I cannot begrude a man defending his sister's honour after he was unable to protect her in life."
"At least Ser Nestor chose to defend his ill-spoken words like a knight rather than withdrawing them. He paid the price, but at least dies a knight."
Westerosi customs could be strange - ransoms taken in the heat of battle, then a man's life ended over crude words at a feast. But they were Roland's Andal traditions, and he was proud of them.
