Marq Durwell was not a man to be treated lightly - both on and off the lists he always appeared formidable and impeccable, nearly without fault. It didn't take long after striking the man's shield that Titus started second guessing his choice, doubting his own abilities compared to those of the Lord of Norhall. Yet such thoughts must be pushed aside as he takes to field to the sound of trumpets and a roaring crowd.

Lord Marq is a difficult foe to predict, in some jousts he could be a cold pragmatic, in others he seemed to care more for good sport than victory, there is no style associated with him, he probably have employed them all at some point or the other if it suits his needs or fancies, typically he goes high in the saddle, but typically he faces jousters less likely to make him regret taking that risk. Here he holds the advantage of needing only to break his lances and keep his seat.
Hmm, I'd argue that True Knight doesn't apply when you're riding against the champion who wears the favor of the lady of honor (and it probably would hit you with -1D if you wanted to ride for some other lady). PR: 22 AR: 10 Health 12

If I win, will I not carry her favour instead of Marq (unless she refuse she to give it for whatever reason)?
In my joust with Ser Humfrey Hardying True Knight still applied even though we where fighting for the right to wear Daena’s favour, technically I did not have it yet. Is this not a similar situation?
If not, I agree that True Knight probably isn’t applicable.

You were formally riding in her honor and that match was explicitly for winning her favor, here she gave it to the other guy, so she favors him for the moment, so on the other side of the line through that gray area the way I see things.

Lord Marq manages to keep his seat by the slightest of margins, but only just is still good enough.

Titus rides like a man possessed, favouring a style more alike that of The Wildfyre - perhaps the Great Bastard's ways had rubbed off some on the young knight - but maybe not quite as untethered. If it's through skill or shear luck however, he hits Lord Marq cleanly shattering the lance and sending his opponent flying.
Titus uses his +2 BotA to make fighting roll 32, thus 3 DoS. Lord Marq fails his SiS.

You would have to make that decision before knowing the results of his rolls I'm afraid. At most you can use BoA to get the 3 DoS, but then his SiS needs to be re-rolled so that you won't know if it's guarantees success.

On second thought, I'll allow it this time.
Next time, it technically should be declared like fatigue (i.e. will use BoA if it is the difference between 2 and 3 DoS, and other conditions applying like opponent not using braced).

With Lord Marq defeated, Titus approaches the grand dias of the hosting family before the fields and removing his helm. He humbly asks Lady Allysanne Ashford, soon to be Lady Meadows, if she would have him stand as her Champion and carry her favour in this tournament as far as the Gods seem fit.
Is a roll needed for this?
