The tourney celebrating Lysette and Aemon’s union had lived up to expectations and drawn a number of talented jousters to Kingsbridge; however, Lord Reynald Florent was not one of them. The lord of Brightwater Keep was dangerous and talented, just not on horseback. Not wanting to hurt or shame the lord who was the father-figure of the groom and with whom Daeron was looking to make a stronger alliance with, he contented himself with chivalrous and noble tactics.

Lord Reynald does not expect to go far, he only rode to show the realms that he is also a knight. But he is much more a lord than he is a knight. But perhaps he might snatch a draw out of this pairing? He breaks his lance, and he almost kept his seat. But almost still finds him ending up on the ground, not surprising, but still a little disappointing that he did not manage to last a little bit longer.
