Roland is holding on, clearly hurting, but he brings down his foe, or more to the point, Ser Symon's foe. Ser Symon accepts the order of taking him off the field. Narator override: Roland takes fatigue (now at 4) and 4 damage, so injury (now at 4). Roland aim+cautious attack (LBF -4) Devyn: 6d6k4 20 3*6-7=unconscious, possibly dying of his injuries, who knows what torments Roland wants upon himself? This time, Symon grumbling accepts the order of escorting the foe off the field. Arron charges Roland: 6d6k3+4 18 1 DoS, for 0 damage Imry charges Roland: 7d6k3+6 19 1 DoS, for 0 damage Wendel takes fatigue to ignore AP Gyles charges Wendel (fatigue vs inj): 6d6k3+3 14 1 DoS, 0 damage.

[OOC: just confirming that I've placed Roland under Narrator control to speed things up, so all of this has my blessing. I'll leave Ser Devyn alive, mainly to buttress my case when I shout at Ser Symon later... Not that it matters for this roll, but might for future scenes, but aren't Roland's current static bonuses: +4 AH, +1 superior, +1 talented, +1 mounted = +7 -2 fatigue (4 fatigue reduced by two from tough), -1 injuries (one injury halved to 0.5 and rounded down by milk of the poppy, leaving three injuries, two of which are ignored by tough) = -3 = +4 net? greatbastards.boards.net/post/7378/thread. Appreciate it is super hard to keep track of all of this, just didn't want people wandering about the inconsistency with my previous posts! Could influence their planning for when they face Roland later.]

I've played with tough throughout this event as cancelling -2 of the combined penalty, I may have ruled otherwise at an earlier date.

[OOC: that's what the link says (to my reading!), "-2 from each" and how I've played it in previous threads. Plus Tough is a (rightly) upgraded version of the base book's benefit, so whatever way we go it is your rule rather than a house rule. Won't change things massively for this event and can be straightened out later. Glad Roland got in an extra hit!]

I think someone asked which way it works early on, but I can't remember what I said then. This event the NPC's will be playing it the way I have played it so far.

Exhausted, surrounded by foes, Roland laboured on, surprising himself at managing to hold on during recent exchanges despite yesterday's injuries on top of his fresh cuts and bruises. While still trying to fight defensively and buy time, with Ser Symon's safe departure his mind was lightened even if his body still ached. His promise to Ashara was kept, even if good Ser Donnel was not beside him to see it through. He sits beside the Warrior now.Briefly free from worldly worries, Roland thumped Ser Arron of the Antlers hard, striking inside his guard by reversing his sword to strike with the "false edge" as Ser Gurney had taught him. At least his foes had come to him - he doubted he had the strength to spur his mount across to them. CD: 10->17 (LBF I -4B, Cautious Attack) AR: 10 Health: 4/12 F/I/W: 4/4/1 Base Damage: 6 D11 Melee R6 Aim + Cautious attack (LBF -4B): 6d6k4+4 21 - 3 DoS (unless fatigue taken) = 18 Damage - 7AR = 11 damage against Ser Arron

Weary beyond words, Roland lashed out at Ser Imry but made little purchase on the fresher knight. CD: 10->17 (LBF I -4B, Cautious Attack) AR: 10 Health: 4/12 F/I/W: 4/4/1 Base Damage: 6 D11 Melee R7 Aim + Cautious Attack Imry (LBF I -4B): 6d6k4+4 19 - 2 DoS = 12 Damage - 1 AR = 1 Damage (and possibly triggering fatigue to ignore AR?)

Imry mostly deflects the strike from Roland, his reply is vicious.
Imry does indeed take fatigue when faced with someone of Roland's caliber. Imry aim+attack Roland: 8d6k4+6 30 That would be 3*6-10= 8 damage to Roland. Gyles charges Addam: 6d6k3+3 17 1 DoS, no damage.
