It does 3 more damage, actually, so it's 15/DoS for 30-7=Dead Hedge knight. War lances are vicious. Brutal Charge: 4d6k3+1 15 4d6k3 8 is also 15/DoS, dealt again because Daeron falls of (TN 9 required to beat), so 30-9=21 damage to soak, and taking defeat is a bad idea with a vicious weapon.

There were two thuds as both bodies hit the ground and for a moment they both lie motionless, but then Daeron stirs and an echoed laughter emits from his helm. Despite the seriousness of the duel and its consequences, the absurdity of Ser Daeron being dismounted in a joust wasn’t lost on anybody.
I really need to improve my horsemanship.
Slowly rising to his feet, his legs shook and bolts of pain arced through his body. The field was splattered with blood, mostly Bronn’s, but a fair amount of his own was there too. He could see that his lance had crumpled the hedge knight’s visor inwards, a mortal blow. It was unlikely that Ser Bronn suffered.
Using his shield to support himself he lifts his visor and does their best bow he can manage towards Lord Florent and meets the man’s eyes.
It is done.
Daeron takes 3 injuries to stave off a terrible death.

As he stands he looks around the spectator stands as well as the grounds for any sign of the hooded man, with or without his hood. He has no idea if he’d come to see his catspaw die, but hopefully Daeron killing his thug sent a message. More Trials-Hooded Man-Awareness (Notice): 4d6k3-3 13
