Attracting more:-Time sensitive given the need to finalize jousting rosters, at some point likely decided by the time needed for Starlings to figure out how to attack their particular situation, the window for any efforts to One may attempt to sway up to 3 characters of The Reach to join one tourney or the other (including blackguards), or perhaps to stay away entirely. -Generally only one invite from each tourney (non-participation counts as a third location) should be sent per NPC, some coordination as to which character makes the tests may be prudent. Notable characters that seems undecided on which to attend, if any:Leo Tyrell, Willas Tyrell, Willem Starling, Abelar Hightower, Imry Levalle, Preston Oakheart, Lewyn Appleton, Owen Roxton, Ormond Hightower, Roland Leygood, Martyn Stackhouse. Notable characters not particularly welcome (but may show up anyway):Simon Tarly, Ser Rennifer Waters, Ser Norren Wythers. --Simon Tarly appearance can only occur if Peace in our Time reaches a conclusion by the time the the guest lists are finalized. I felt that breaking the aforementioned coordination into its own thread may be sensible, to avoid OOC-post-bloat in the main event thread, keeping this information relatively clear. If this is not needed, I can delete this thread. Make a post declaring who you want to influence where, and I'll do my best to keep this first post up-to-date. If you don't wish to influence anyone, probably easiest to declare that, too, so it's known where you stand. Once everyone's declared, you can arm-wrestle with opposed Athletics(Strength) tests or whatever to decide who gets to make the attempt where multiple attempts overlap. Nightsong (Fire):Leo Tyrell: Daeron Reynald Florent: Daeron Owen Roxton: Daeron Crakehall (Blood):Lord Leo: Laena instigating Aerion Roland Leygood: Laena Roland Ser Imry Levalle: Thaddeus Abelar Hightower: Thaddeus Ormond Hightower: Thaddeus Preston Oakheart: Davos through an introduction by Roland

I think clock is ticking on this one, btw. (Although if someone tries to invite Simon Tarly and would normally succeed, maybe there'll be some extra delays).

Just throwing this out there: my brother Aerion is presumably going to Crakehall? Would it be possible to try and lure Lord Leo there (without having to use a favour), with Aerion publicly getting the 'credit' for it? Like saying that Aerion has missed him, and wants the chance to match against him to show him how far he's come, that kind of thing? Letting Leo get some good jousting in, and the personal connection (which he should make obvious) should mitigate worries over it being seen as a political move (which is undoubtedly will anyway, but ehhh. It provides some cover.) I did note that Alicent already intends to try and invite him there. Mechanically, it may be better off for her to roll, but my objective here would be to try and make my brother look good, rather than scoring political points.

It would probably be possible for Laena to find someone willing to buy drinks for her famous brother and get him talk about how he'd like to face Leo in the joust and so on and so forth, and have the rumor spread out of the words said. (But the process would probably still cost a favor).
The advantage Alicent has is that she doesn't need to owe anyone a favor, not sure if she has notably better odds of success.

Ehhh. The odds of me succeeding are pretty minimal. How does using an intermediary affect the DR I'd be rolling against? Given that the invitation is 'publicly' coming from my brother, would it use Leo's disposition towards him? (Pretty sure Leo likes me, but not as much as he does his former squire, I wager.)

Daeron is just going to owe the favors and hope that Lysette or one of the Starling PCs invites Lord Willem to Nightsong.

It's a creative enough move on Laena's part that Leo's DR vs Aerion would be in play, probably also his status test as that seems the most reasonable, but her rumor roll for the intrigue.

Okay, great, thanks. Still a long-shot, but it's been a while since I did something nice for my brother, while I've been surprisingly helpful towards others. So, let's do this.
I'll give others, like, a day to interject if they would also wish to try the same. Who would I owe the favour to?

Thaddeus is planning to invite Ser Imry Levalle & Ser Abelar Hightower to the Crakehall tourney. Still debating on anything additional. Will try to make rolls for the invite this weekend and post in the original thread.

Rolling this morning but I decided to double up on Hightowers...so Thaddeus will also send an invite to Ser Ormond Hightower for the Crakehall tourney.

I keep trying to think of ways Davos might invite Preston Oakheart to Crakehall, but not really coming up with much that would make sense.
I suppose the idea might have come up in conversation with a third party, and that third party invites Preston... but I'm not sure whom that someone would be.

Having gone over the characters thoroughly, I'm adding Roland Leygood to those I am trying to lure to Crakehall, as that's where I think I'll be, and I should probably have a chat with him. Speak up within the next couple of days if you might also wish to do that.
Edit: By virtue of OOC volunteering, I am IC manipulating Roland Cordwayner into doing it for me.

[OOC: aiming to get in on some of this Sunday/Monday based on various PMs, thanks for making the thread!
- Davos you know Roland Cordwayner, and he is good friends with Ser Preston Oakheart but a noted foe of his father, having served under him in Dorne and effectively been removed from service while being knighted by Redtusk. Plus Roland recently defeated Lord Oakheart in a duel after he insulted Roland's betrothed.]
