There was a soft mist hovering on the Riverlands, the dew clinging delicately and desperately to the ground and trees.
As Robyn sat atop his Courser, the stead that had carried him this far, he couldnt help but taste something in the air. Bitter, hardened, iron; the flavor of blood and death. His senses were sharp and keen, as he looked to the sky, wolf helm he had specially made resting below his arm. The overcast sky was fitting, and as his fingers tapped gently on the metal, he let out a long sigh, "I wonder if he will show..."
Steffon Whent. It wasnt a name he was particularly familiar with, and Robyn scoured his memory to try and recall anything about the man.
Coming up mostly short, he sighed again and tossed his hair, placing the helmet on as he strapped himself in tighter. If he was going to ride, he was going to win.
And hopefully not get to bloody in doing so.
Few questions here!
Is there a roll I can do to figure out anything out about Steffon Whent? Are the fights taking place in secret? Does Tourney Knight apply here? Robyn might have asked Davos to borrow his horse for this, since a Superior mount is better, but need confirmation on that from them.
Robyn will be wearing his Superior Full Plate, and have his Superior War Lance, Superior Bastard Sword, Superior Longsword, Superior Small Shield and Superior Ball and Chain.
CD: 11 (3 Agility, 4 Awareness, 4 Athletics, +2 from Shield, -2 for Superior Full Plate) Health: 12/12 AR: 13 (10, +1 for Armor Master, +2 for Opposed charge with Lances) I/W/F: 0/0/0

Knowledge (Streetwise) for tips and tricks maybe. No, the fights are in front of everyone as the armies are forming up and preparing for battle. Tourney Knight is only for tourneys, doesn't work in real combat.

Not as good a horseman as Robyn, but stronger with the sword, so probably best to hit hard on the lance charge and hope that brings him off the horse.

Just so I’m aware, are these rolls gonna be resolved against CD or Passive Ride?

Lance charge vs passive ride, subsequent attacks (presumably with longsword) vs CD.
It's basically opposed war lance charge->Roll iniative while drawing swords/axes/maces

One more question before I start doing rolls. Is the only lance modifier we can use reckless? Or are we also using the Jousting rules for that one pass?

Jousting rules as modified under "opposed charge" in the combat section.

LDiC: First Pass with Superior War Lance Aggressive 3 High in Saddle (+3 for Agressive, +2 for High in Saddle, +4 for Animal Handling Ranks, +1 for Talented, +1 for Superior War Lance, -1D for Charge, -1b for Training Penalty): 6d6k3+11 23 Dont know how many DoS that is, but got it confirmed that i am using Davos' horse, so that would be (4+4) +2 for strength of horse = 10 Damage per DoS LDiC: Stay In Saddle Animal Handling (Ride) (-3 for High in Saddle, +1 for Superior Mount, +1 for Talented): 7d6k4-1 16Not sure if i should roll for Initiative using the Horse's stats or not, so i will just put a breakdown of my CD and go from there! CD: 14 (18 Passive, +1 from Talented, +2 from Shield, -4, -3 for Aggressive) Health: 12/12 AR: 13 I/W/F: 0/0/0

Ser Steffon is a hardened and fierce warrior, the politically astute would note that he is here because Lord Lothston wants to send a signal, he rode forward to be seen and perhaps to win glory for Harrenhaal, but knowing the Black Bat, it is a demonstration of strength that is desired. Knowing that he is stronger with the sword, Robyn's opponent holds his shield high and his seat low, treasuring balance in the saddle and presenting a small target with few openings. Robyn lands a strong hit, sufficient to punch the breath out of Ser Steffon, but not powerful enough to unseat him. The Champion of Harrenhaal wheels around his Great Destrier as he draws his sword and prepares for their blades to cross. Defensive+3, Braced, attack, SiS: 6d6k4 14 4d6k3+4 17You sure Robyn's not using a +4 shield? And your AR is probably 11? No damage to you anyhow. Robyn does 20-10 damage, Steffon holds his saddle. Initiative is your stats, but you get +1 if it's a superior courser. Steffon Whent: Steffon CyB, Iniative: 6d6k4 16 3d6-3 9CD: 11 AR: 10 Health: 5/12

Robyn let out a sigh as he tugged on the horses reigns, twisting the beast around. That blow would have knocked most men off their horse, and Robyn put a lot of force behind it, he could see where the impact dented his opponent's form. 'Come on Robyn, show them a wolf,' he looked skyward and howled as he always did, the shape of the helmet causing it to echo out and provide a louder and rounder sound.
He will be using a +4 shield, that is my bad! The 13 was just from opposed charge with lances adding 2. Since he CyB, do i get a greater action in between? Could i use my turn to pass to get +2b on my next test? Or is there just a free CyB option? Also, is it wrong to continue to use the War Lance? Like is it seen as ignoble? LDiC: Initiative (-2 from Full Plate, +1 for Superior Courser): 3d6-1 14I will wait to do my turn until i get those answers. CD: 13 Health: 12/12 AR: 11 I/W/F: 0/0/0

Just a standard free CyB at the end of opposed jousting/duel charges.

Ser Steffon appears not to have composed himself properly after the lance charge, and his younger opponent claims the iniative in the match.
Aim is fine under the circumstances, I need to clean up those rules anyhow. Steffon Whent: CD: 11 AR: 10 Health: 1/12 Injuries: 1 Aim+Attack vs Robyn: 7d6k5+1 20Hrrm, that's just the 1 damage.
