"Alright! Alright, I yield," Robyn let loose a grunt as he tapped Mikel on his arm, hoping that he would release him. Upon doing so, he would roll over, stand up quickly and extend a hand down towards Mikel, "To be honest with you, I would rather see you do that on other people than myself," He chuckled, "Nothing beats getting your ass handed to you by a man with a very small sword," he removed his helm, smiling coyly, "And the stiletto is very small too,"
(I am so sorry for the long pause, if you wanted to continue this as an RP to solidify their friendship before the coming war, that sounds good to me!)

At his yield Mikel gets to his feet and takes Robyn's hand when it is extended. "Well fought and thank you for the match." He laughs at Robyn's comment as to his sword and his stiletto. "There will be times when crossing swords won't be in my favor, and in those times I need something else take the favor back. But if I had tried to cross my stiletto with your sword that probably wouldn't have done the trick, eh? So I get inside his range and control him with wrestling while my stiletto finds the gaps in his armor."

Robyn nods, laughing along with him, "Well, when wrestling with someone again I will try to remember that, though hopefully she wont be wearing any armor." He gives him a righteous pat on the back, pausing to think for a moment, "Come to think of it, even without the armor, I imagine the ruckus from our wrestling would surely reach my mother's overprotective ears, in which case, might as well have some on to stay her fury!"
Robyn laughs again, walking past Mikel and turning to face him, "What do you say we get out of this metal and get some wine in our bellies? Im pretty sure you promised me a drink upon my arrival,"

Mikel smiled at Robyn's humor. He found the young man to be light hearted and quick with a smile or laughter, and thought that those were positive traits in any person but especially a young Lord. "If your encounters with women start off with wrestling, you might need to work on how you speak to them." Mikel bantered back. "That wine sounds just right about now, much deserved too. Lets meet back here after getting cleaned up and changing, hm?"
Having removed his armor, washed with a rag from a bowl, then put on a combination of wool over linens, black trousers with a blue shirt, Mikel buckled on his sword and tucked gloves into the belt before heading back to the courtyard to meet Robyn. Harold had procured to wine skins for Mikel and when he saw Robyn he gave a friendly greeting and handed him one. "I figured we'd figure out where we were going as we got started drinking." He lifted his wineskin in a toast, "To coming home." And took a drink.

Robyn nods with a smile, clicking his tongue and giving a wink before heading off to do just that.
It was certainly weird, and was something rather unexpected, when someone helped him get his armor off and even offered to wash him down. He had forgotten the experience, and while he initially panicked and agreed, as soon as his trousers started to come undone he let out a yelp and told them that he could do it himself. A new life, one that would take some getting used to. He changed quickly, donning a green tunic with brown pants, the silver embelishmonts very forest themed as leaves decorate the color and sleeves, before tightening his sword back to his belt and grabbing a book filled with blank pages and headed out. When the wine was offered, he gave a whooping howl and took it, raising it to the sky, "To new friends!" taking a large gulp before pulling away, giving a whole body shiver and a smile, looking at the wineskin with feigned confusion, "I see why they keep it in a pigs bladder; it tastes like piss!" before laughing and downing another drink.
He paused, letting out a satisfied sigh as he looked to Mikel, "Delicious. Thank you, for this. Now where should we fini-" He stopped, his eyes going wide as he rembemred something, beaming with energy, "I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE WE SHOULD DRINK THESE!" before rushing off, skidding to a stop a few feet away to turn around and wave Mikel to follow with a devilish grin, continuing to head out of the courtyard

Mikel laughed politely along woth Robyn, he was surprised at the howl then more surprised at Robyns sudden idea. Grinning he trotted along behind Robyn, wondering where he was being led.

Robyn left the courtyard grounds and travelled off into the trees, holding aloft the wine as he dashed, the tall figure looking completely at home as he navigated his way through the grounds that he grew up on as a child, now returning as a young man. He was still a child, at heart and certainly sometimes in personality, but when you stand well over 6' and have your spurs, sometimes there is a misconception as to what your age is.
As they ran, they came to a small clearing, covered in leaves and other foilage that come with being an unkept part of the forest. Robyn smiled, turning to Mikel and opening his arms wide and spinning around the space, laughing a little bit more youthfully, stopping to dig around a tree near the entrance, brushing leaves aside.
He lets out a gasp, picking up a large piece of wood and brushing the dirt off of it, revealing its front to Mikel. Engraved in sloppy hand done lettering is 'Starkwood Den, Found by Symon Ashara and Robyn'.
"Welcome to Starkwood Den Mikel, my childhood safe haven,"

Mikel smiles and takes a moment to assess the den. "Den", he repeats, "I like that. How much time did you spend here?" The woods of the Starkwood lands were deep and beautiful. Mikel had spent a fair amount of time passing through them and crossing streams, encountering ponds, and traversing open areas to get to the next woodline. But this one did somehow stand out and that the Starkwood children, as children, had selected it for their own special place felt right. The Den.

"Oh, definitely a lot more than we should have," he chuckled slightly, once more looking to the ground to uncover things, dusting leaves aside and the like, "Symon would teach me how to fight with some of the sticks we would find around here. Round the body cuts, feints, the different defensive positions, all of it. I wasn't any good at it back then, got my knuckles bruised from not learning properly. And from our fight today, it looks like I still have a lot to learn," Robyn winks at Mikel, taking a large swig of the wine before continuing a search. He moved some leaves aside, fingers quickly nabbing a old, torn green handkerchief, 'Ashara' sown into it, the embroidery done reminiscent of many first attempts at the skill. He held it and smiled, looking at Mikel as he gestured with the worn fabric, "Ashara would watch, sometimes join in," he lets out a laugh, "Unfortunately she would beat me more often than not. Even in those pretty dresses she wears,"
For the first time since he met Robyn, Mikel saw a wave of sadness rush over his face. There was realization in his eyes, and his voice deepened slightly, "Or... would wear, I suppose," he cleared his throat, taking a large drink from the wineskin and folded the fabric neatly, placing it in his belt for safe keeping. He was silent, for a few moments, brushing leaves off a smooth stone before sitting down on it, pointing at one directly across from him, his face alight once more, though, the sadness was still present in his eyes, "I know it isn't as soft as a cushion, but it beats the waxed stools we have in the dinning hall. Please sit,"

Mikel takes the offered seat and has another drink before speaking. He used the time choose which path of conversation to pursue, and he decided to follow the path he was most comfortable which was about training. "If you find that you are ever the biggest fish in your pond its time to find a new pond. There is always somebody better and you need to find them in the yard before you find them in the field." Perhaps I should give the more sensitive matters a chance too though, he thought. "I preferred my own company when I was younger, not that I found much privacy. I have four siblings - we got along well enough - and a mother that always seemed to be just over my shoulder, my father spent most of his time at the forge. I had a chance to visit before the tournament at Whitewalls and it was nice, but nearly the same as I remember it, just that we were all older." Yeah, I'm definitely better conversing over training. He thought.

He nods at the advice, "I haven't considered myself to ever be the biggest fish in the pond, to be honest. My skill with the blade needs refinement, but you are right, there will always be someone better. Im just happy that you were the first person I challenged, the loss doesn't sting as much when you make a friend out of it," He gives a gentle smile, hoping to lighten his mood a little. At the mention of his family, Robyn gives a curious glance, "It felt the same? Coming home, and seeing your family?" he looked around the space as he talked, "I feel as though everything has changed, and the only thing that stayed the same was my Mother. Always overprotective, always babying me. When I went to see her after our first encounter, she immediately talked to me about my hair, and how it was getting too long," He did his best impression of his mother, sotto voice and all, "Its getting in your eyes, dear, how do you expect to see anything with hair poking your eyes?" He smiled, again, going back to his normal voice as he looked to Mikel, "She's always complaining about something with my appearance. But you said you had four siblings? What was growing up with them like?"

Mikel nods in agreement with a smile when Robyn mentions their sparring session leading to a friendship. When asked about his home coming Mikel responded, "Father is still at the forge, mother is now grand-mothering. My older brother followed in my fathers foot steps and my younger brother has entered a trade more fitted to him. My sisters each have married, though my older sister is a widow. So life has changed but it really hasn't." He considered how best to elaborate. "Their course could be seen early, only the fine detail could not be known."
"Well, growing up with them was nice. The older two were close in age and the younger two close in age, I was in the middle by a few years each way. So we got along but we seemed to all get along at different times. There were times I might not get along with anyone but myself too, but even then if I needed something every one of them could be counted on to help."
"I do worry how the future might effect them at Harroway. The course of the Kingdom is changing, and that is going to change the details for everybody."
