Ser Aerion and his companions may have hoped for some reprieve after a tough encounter with Lord Walgrave and his men, but such wishes are dashed by the arrival of Ser Victarion Rivers, styled the Krakenbeast for his heritage and ferocity in battle. Only tatters remains of his tabard, the paint on his shield is gone, two of the ornamental squid arms on his helm has been broken off, and yet he seems to be in dangerously good shape despite the battering he must have taken. The rest of his team looks much worse for the wear, even if Ser Victarion appears to have attracted the brunt of the blows of their opponents, and shrugged most of them off. Their full stats and initiatives to come later. Aerion can roll initiative, can run this as a set of 1vs1 or as group combat. The Krakenbeast is probably a bigger threat than the other four adversaries combined in group on group action, and is almost guaranteed to take out any member on Team Aerion in single combat.

Looks like my team needs to take a breather! Which would more likely result in a win for Aerion: fighting 1v1 kraken and letting teams go at it, going 1v1 with all of them (not likely given health) or full team fight?

Most likely: 1v1 (like with the Oakhearts) where the Krakenbeast doesn't face Aerion (cynic version: Try and recruit him after). Least likely: Aerion vs Krakenbeast in single combat. The cynic with a sense of fair play would go group on group and try to quickly eliminate weaker opponents with the aim to form up a team of the four or five remaining combatants.

Aerion isn't about to let someone else face Krakenbeast alone, so he shouts to his men to rally around him and watch their flanks.
The great bastard chooses to hold the end of the line closest to the center of the field, nearest the rest of the melee, in case of any reinforcements. Melee R4 self control (Proud) vs. TN 13: 5d6k3 12 simple failure.
Go with team fight. Cynic with a sense of fair play is the option taken.
Is initiative Agility or does this fall under Warfare rules?

The opposition forms up their own line to face Ser Aerion and friends, The Great Bastard appears a little quicker than the rest.
That should be -3 from AP, and -1 from fatigue by my count, but Aerion still goes first because quickness dices, so pick your target, everyone except the Krakenbeast will take fatigue to ignore AP if charged so their CD is then 13. Aerion will attempt to maneuver so that he is able to intervene against the Kraken should he need to save one of his team, but he'll attempt to take out his half brother Ser Aegon. He'll keep him between himself and anyone who would try to double team him, and is able to land a hit on him.
R4 vs. Team Kraken - Maneuver on Aegon vs. TN ?: 7d6k5+1 28 - Hopefully 2 DoS to impart -1D. R4 vs. Team Kraken - Attack on Aegon vs. TN 13: 7d6k5+1 21 - 2 DoS 6*2=12-10=2 Damage.
Will take Fatigue to ignore AP if attacked. Why couldn't I switch rolls, that'd be 4 DoS on damage!

Generally will need a fatigue with that since one doesn't start out adjacent, ordinarily have to charge or do a move action first. Will need to reroll if not taking fatigue to do the above.

Aerion prepares for the coming charge, ready to take on whomever decides to come lose to him. I forgot to include fatigue anyway, so let's try this again: Melee vs. Team Kraken - Counterattack (Pious if Kraken) vs. CD 10/13: 7d6k5 20 - 2 DoS if vs non-Kraken. 3+ DoS if Kraken.
So if they charge him, +2 base damage. If it's Kraken, will use Pious +1D (tagged in roll). Up to you if you want to send in the Kraken.

The lines clash together, mostly both sides hold up well. except for where the Krakenbeast's blow falls heavy down on Ser Symon, Aerion and Symon retaliates, and sends the monster reeling, but Lord Vardis has little difficulty squeezing out what little fight there is left in the Starkwood heir and Aerion is one man down. But unscathed.

That should be 20 since Aerion didn't take fatigue last round and thus having +1, moving mounted people with maneuver doesn't work (but can still inflict -1D or work in tandem with LBF II), however, I am assuming that it is Vardis that you attack, Aegon went after Uthor, Vardis is the one right in front off you. Of course..that catches the attention of the Kraken. Aerion->Horas->Davos->Florian->Sebaston->Kraken->Uthor->Vardis Horas aim+attack Davos: 7d6k4+1 20 No damage. Vardis distracts Aerion and assists Krakenbeast (cautious): 3d6-3 11Aegon Rivers has had enough and yields. Would strongly recommend taking down the Krakenbeast real quick. Aerion sees the damage that the Kraken would inflict on his team, and decides he is willing to sacrifice a hit onto himself to take out the most important enemy.
Melee vs. Team Kraken - Attack on Kraken + Reckless vs. CD 12: 8d6k5 24 - 3 DoS 3 * 6 = 18 - 10 = 8 Damage. He takes two more injuries and is at 4 health.
Just realized I forgot a lesser action. Can I use knockdown to knock him off? Or should I just aim and hope to get a 6 and take him out of the fight?

Aim, knockdown not possible in mounted combat.
