Yes, although I don't see how it might meaningfully change what Roland learns here.

What could cause a horse to go mad?Balon was no Master of Horse and it showed as he had no fucking clue as to why the horse would act the way it did. Maybe there's a Dornishman around feeling randy. But still... Phase 2, Bad Apple, Healing (Diagnose) TN12, Knowledge (Education) TN18 each: 2#2d6 6 8, Failed both. Was there foul play involved? While Balon's investigation about the horse turned up nothing he "knew" Redtusk and there was no way he'd own or ride a horse that acted in such a manner. Clearly there was something afoot the question was who looked to profit? A gambler? A loyalist looking to rid the rebels of one of its brightest stars? A spurned lover? Balon wanted to know. Phase 2, Bad Apple, Awareness (Notice), Cunning (Memory), Luck, All TN9: 3d6 15, 2 DoS 3d6 8, Fail 2d6 4, Fail

Thaddeus learns of the effects of Widow's Blood by asking around and clearly remembers the apple-boy, enough of his face to actually have a chance at finding him, putting two and two together, that might be a search worth undertaking.
Thaddeus may do (assists not really possible since others wouldn't know what to look for): Awareness (Notice) Cunning (Memory) Knowledge (Streetwise)

Abelar also hears the tale of the stableboy, and have read enough books to be fairly certain that it's Basilisk Blood that is at play.

Abelar continues his hunt. Reveal yourself to me, sinner!
Half a day he spends at the stables, taking confession from every groom, squire, and page he can find. " . . . it was gluttony to steal a salt-lick meant for your master's steed . . . yes, I know it burned your tongue, you still must repent . . . "" . . . I understand it is quite a sight to see a stallion do that, but it transfixed you in a way that reveals a prurient mind, which is why the knight smacked you on the head. From now on, you should concern yourself only with geldings . . . "" . . . amorous congress with a pommel-horn!? Do you realize how long I've been taking confession? And not once have I uttered this phrase, and--nevermind. You should instruct him that the saddle is ruined . . . now are there any others who have undertaken comparable sins?"
[I'm assuming I also get to make the same rolls Thaddeus is making, since I also heard of the stable-boy] (P2 Apple) Awareness (Notice); Cunning (Memory); Knowledge (Streetwise): 6d6k4 14 4d6 11 6d6k4 21

No, the special search required clues which only Thaddeus rolled good enough across the tests to come across.
