The prisoner's will is easily broken, though he does not appear to know of anything that the group haven't already found out from other sources.

Blast. I doubt the sobbing fool has any more information for us. Even if I let Malyk have his way. He does not even have additional contacts for us. "Well Ser Daeron, Ser Roland, we thank you for your assistance in apprehending this man. He has already escaped once so it is good to have though fleet of foot and bold of heart. Do you wish to join us as we take to prisoner to Lord Tyrell's Dungeon?" He inquires.

Nodding his assent,
"I cannot speak for my brother-in-arms, but I think that an armed escort would be wise. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a gang of assassins lying in wait at this moment to ambush either us or our prisoner."

If they wanted this catspaw dead, he already would be Alliser smiles warmly at Daeron, "Indeed, we wouldn't want that to happen. although if you wanted to go somewhere else, we might have made a stop by the woods. Escaped prisoners can be so hard to catch at times, and Lord Tyrell wouldn't want this vagrant on the street, so we would be well justified in taking him down.

"What were you planning on doing with him?" Malyk stared at the man with those eyes of his. "Jorah. The boy. Had you not been interrupted, what were your instructions? Where were you to take him? Why was he a target in the first place? Were you going to kill him afterward? How much were you paid to kidnap a child?"
The Senechal was clearly not satisfied with the answers they had been given.

They were supposed to deliver him outside Gardenton, they had received a gold each in advance for the attempt and would receive five more upon success. They were hired by one whose description sounds highly familiar. It is clear that he was not given any more information than needed to perform his task. A man with the wits to worm himself out of being arrested by both Roland and Daeron by quick thinking, rehearsed lies, improvised flattery and the offer of coin and the ruthlessness to buy the deaths of Septas and nobles would likely have paid them with sharp steel across the throat.

Not evil. Not really. Just pathetic, blind and stupid.Six gold dragons was an enormous amount of money to these men, especially for such a simple task. So enormous, in fact, Malyk would have viewed it with a great deal of suspicion had he been them. But he was not them, and they were fools, and this was just another dead end.
He sighed, the anger draining away. "I hope you gave the dragon you received to your family so it might at least do some good. Your friend did not give you up, you know. Not to me, not to Lord Florent, perhaps not even to Lord Leo. Such loyalty is rare. I hope the Stranger has mercy on you. He's the only one left who can."
He turned to Lord Levalle. "May I leave, my Lord. You have many great Knights here to protect you and someone should inform Jorah, the Coys and Lord Florent the man has been apprehended."

"yes, you may go." Alliser looked at the pathetic man with a look of distaste.

With one last glance at the man, his face a mixture of pity and revulsion, he left to inform those concerned.

Roland nodded at the departing Malyk.
He feared there may be some price to pay later.
Were I a man of Lord Levalle's cunning, I would have had Alicent's attacks claim the deed done and spring a trap on their paymaster, or at least his enforcers.
As with two nights past wisdom came to him too late, too late.
"Lord Tyrell's justice for this wretch then? The Wall seems too good for this sort. I see few ways that he can lead us to the spider at the centre of this web - it is too late to fake a success in their depraved mission."
Those striking at nobles needed to be punished, lest such outrages spread.

He makes a sound of agreement, then looks at the gathered knights. "This wretch knows nothing, but he was honest and gave what he could. I suggest we take him by way of the Sept, give him a chance to confess any last sins to a Septon before we take him to Lord Tryell. I don't imagine the light of the Seven will reach him in the dungeons before he hangs."
