"It does not matter whether or not you - or your house - condone the behavior, if others think that you do. Many think of House Starkwood as being unfaithful to the Seven; however this is not true. We may not be as pious as your lord uncle, but we hold to the new gods, not the old. However, because others think we are heathens we are still sometimes treated as such. Truth is important, but it does not determine your reputation... and regardless of the truth, people will treat your house based on it's reputation."
She pauses to briefly to give him time to start thinking about her labyrinthine argument, but not enough to process the whole of it.
"That is why your actions - in public - matter. It is not enough to chastise your brother in the privacy of your pavilion. It must be seen that you do not condone his actions if you want to ensure that others do not think you do."
YPML R5 Fast Talk Deception(act) w RT and Courteous: 7d6k5+2 29 vs Passive Awareness(empathy), Romantic applies.
With that lucky roll I'm pretty sure that's 4 DoS... why can't my Influence rolls be so good? Ashara recovers 4 composure and Titus does not add his Cunning against Ashara's next Influence action... which is now.
CORRECTION: I rolled and kept 1 die too many on that roll, and also forgot to include the disposition modifier.
YPML R5 correction drop die: 1d7 2 drops one of the 6s.
Top 4 of [6,5,5,5,3,1] is 21+2+2 = 25 which I think is still 4 DoS.
YPML R6 Influence Persuasion(incite) w RT & disposition: 5d6-4 13 vs 8(?) ID (no cunning), 2 DoS for 6-4DR = 2 composure
I wish I could reverse those rolls...
ID: 13 (11+2 from free action)
Composure: 12/12
Disposition: Unfriendly (DR 6, Deception +2 Persuasion -4)
EDIT: I realized that I made the same error previously on the Free Action. It probably won't affect the result, but I'm going to go back and fix it, and if it does make a difference I will adjust.
EDIT2: Well, it turns out to be moot. At worst the 6 would be dropped, but with the +2 from disposition it would be a net reduction of 4 for a revised total of 14, just barely still 2 DoS.
