Laena does not make any outward signs of glee when Ser Donnel makes his statement to his wife, but internally, she's thrilled. When he makes his request, she shrugs, smiles, and nods. "If there's nothing else we feel the need to raise here, I'll speak with him next chance I get, and get the process started for our lords to meet as soon as both can find time."
If no-one raises any further objections, Laena smiles, and raises a glass in toast. "To peace and prosperity for both our houses."

[Father has said he has no further plans for this thread, so I'm just quickly closing it off before the day ends.]
Shiera seems unwilling to directly counter her husband's implied wishes, in public at least, and falls silent, allowing the toast to proceed, before food is distributed, and the subject moves to lighter matters, Laena doing her best to be her usual charming self, and keeping the subject matter away from any heavy subjects, so that all who wish to may enjoy their picnic.

Ser Donnel lets Laena take charge, and chats along pleasantly. After a while Ser Donnel brings his wife with him to play with the children, leaving the two young mothers with some privacy.
