Knocked on his ass, Daeron responds with a swift kick with both of his feet to return the favor before rolling over to deliver his own chop. As his sword came down a searing pain shot up his leg and his blade didn't connect as strongly as he needed it to. Nightsong-Knockdown vs Byron: 6d6k4-1 17Nightsong-Bastard Sword vs Byron: 9d6k5+1 20 (2 DOS for [7*2-10] 4 damage) CD: 13 AR: 11 Health: 2/12 W/I/F: 1/0/1 Are the new rules for Fury in play yet?

Ser Byron seeks to press his initial advantage, although his second assault is not as potent as the first, he does seem to hold the momentum.
What the benefit list says is in effect, so nothing new there, but we can playtest the alternative if you like. Maneuver+Attack: 8d6k6+1 28 8d6k5+1 20So Daeron maneuvered for -1D and 2 DoS for 14-11=3 damage. CD: 11 (maybe 14) AR: 10 Health: 8/12 Takes fatigue to negate AP if Daeron goes reckless.

Daeron narrowed his eyes. The dragon was rising within him and he wasn't able to hold it back. Though still off balance, he gave a brutal swing at the Buckler knight.
I say we test the new mechanics-this is a relatively low stakes fight that probably won't change the course of history. Takes an injury Enters a Frenzy During combat, you may enter a state of frenzy with the following effects: -You gain +2 damage per DoS, but all attack actions are now greater actions (if they were not so already) -You may not use catch your breath or cautious attack. -Your weapon gains the vicious quality for the remainder of the scene against any opponent attacked while in a state of frenzy. -You must spend a lesser action to try and calm yourself down prior to the end of combat which is a self-control test. Nightsong-Reckless Frenzy Bastard Sword vs Byron: 10d6k5 22 (2 DOS for 8 damage) CD: 13 (8)AR: 11 Health: 3/12 W/I/F: 1/1/1

An older and wiser man might have decided to yield, this perhaps applying to both knights as Ser Byron hopes to use the opening presented to force Daeron into submission.
CD: 14 (takes fatigue if attacked) AR: 10 Health: 4/12 I: 1 F: 1 Young, arrogant, confident says the description, I think he'll act as if his next attack is going to force a yield out of Daeron. Maneuver+Attack: 8d6k6-1 22 8d6k5-1 18Maneuver, fail. But 3 DoS for 11 damage.

Anger was replaced with hate. A white hot hate for this nobody, nothing knight who had the gall to not only challenge him, but to also be beating him. Casting his shield to the ground Wildfyre swang at Ser Byron with a terrible rage.
Takes 3 Injuries to offset damage Drops shield, goes two-handed with Bastard Sword (going with Powerful on this) Nightsong-Reckless Frenzy-2H Bastard: 10d6k6-3 23 (3 DOS for 17 Damage) CD: 9 (4) AR: 11 Health: 4/12 W/I/F: 1/4/1

Ser Byron drops to the ground from Daeron's last blow, just how severe the damage is not readily apparent, but the man is clearly not getting up under his own power for the moment.
Defeat by Vicious weapon in a duel of honor....

In his mind he gave a mighty warcry as he defeated his mighty enemy, but in reality it was little more than a grunt as his sword cut through Ser Byron's armor underneath his right arm. However, it cut deep, much deeper than he expected and as he pulled it out a concerning amount of blood started to pour out of the ensuing gash. As he wound up for a finishing blow he saw that Ser Byron appeared to already be finished as he fell to one knee and then to his face. Shit. Oh shit. That wasn't supposed to happen.
"Someone get 'im a maester," he said in muffled voice as he fell to a single knee himself. How this petty fight got so out of hand, he wasn't sure, but he certainly was glad that he wasn't the one quickly bleeding out on the ground. Nightsong-1=Death, 2=Maiming: 1d2 1 That's.. unlucky for everyone I suspect.

Shock and silence is the reaction to Ser Byron's fall. And hardened gazes at Daeron. The tourney that was supposed to show off the chivalry of the Blackfyre supporters is failing miserably, in part due to his involvement. Others are simply disappointed in thinking Daeron to be a better knight than this.
Disposition changes towards Daeron: House Buckler -5 Redtusk, Lyonel Costayne: -2 Willem Starling, Pearse Caron, Gormon Peake, Lyonel Baratheon: -1 Olyvar Yronwood: +1
