With Daeron's retreat, the attack falls apart, though most of the Longtable men lies either dead or dying, in no shape to give any meaningful pursuit. Most of his group scatters to the winds, eager to be elsewhere. A few remain behind, perhaps hoping Daeron might recommend them for service at Kingsbridge, but "They helped me ambush Ser Norren" was not likely a good argument with Lord Starling. The old knight would have preferred to be die by Ser Norren's hand than to be saved by skulduggery.
And of course, Daeron's injuries needs to be attended to also, and Longtable could possibly take an interest in uncovering who had ambushed Ser Norren.

So The Merryweathers don't know.....yet.
Options for healing wounds:
-1 week of moderate activity to travel to Kingsbridge for treatment by maester, but anyone there (spies included) will be able to put two and two together, and Lord Starling will certainly not approve (others there might).
-Camp out in the care of the squire and some hedge knights.
-Search for helpful smallfolk, test chance TN 9:
--Success: Be treated by wise woman (3D+2B+2)
--Simple failure: Be treated by some huntsman's wife (3D+2)
--Critical failure: Be treated by wise woman who will later betray Daeron (if planning to kill her, mark in chance test).
-Cunning (Memory) TN 9 to determine which local lords are around and close enough that going there counts as light activity.
--For each DoS, test chance TN 9, critical failure: Not to be trusted, simple failure: unknown, success: Probably trustworthy.
---If Daeron seeks out one of these, a second chance test is rolled at TN 7, 9 or 11 (trustworthy, unknown, untrustworthy), on a success, he will receive treatment with discretion in return for a major favor, on a simple failure he will be directed to a wise woman (as successful chance test for finding such a healer) in return for a major favor, on a critical failure he will be turned away (and possibly betrayed to Lord Eldon).
-Can assume squire has same dicepools as Daeron (but no wounds to penalize rolls) and can roll in his stead with a +2 assist bonus from helpful hedge knights.
