Ser Manfryd Grimm puts up a valiant effort against Redtusk, but today he does not have the needed luck to overcome the superior skill of his foe. Lord Willem Starling's competition ends long before he had imagined it as he just fails to keep his balance on the second tilt against Ser Imry Levalle, who in contrast displays expert horsemanship to withstand the old champion's well placed lance. Lord Roxton's tourney ends at first contact with Lord Marq's lance, though did the favorite among the gamblers show weakness in the saddle? Those watching keenly had the distinct feeling that if Lord Owen's lance had been a little bit steadier, he may have been joined by his opponent, and with Orphan-Maker in hand, he would surely be the favorite. Ser Preston Oakheart finds little challenge from Ser Vardis of Kingsbridge, dispatching the Companion with a single thrust of his lance. Ser Aemon must work hard to best Ser Loras Durwell, though considered the superior jouster, it takes six pairs of broken lances before he may claim victory. The match between Lord Durwell and Ser Imry Levalle may well turn out to be the talking point of the tourney, outdoing Breakspear and Blackfyre by breaking ten lances against one another before, finally, Lord Marq finally slips, unseated. Semi-Finals: Roland rolls 1d3 to determine which one he'll get out of: Aemon Flowers Redtusk Imry Levalle A Kingsbridge man would make the final, although a glory hound like Roland preferred a chance at two Kingsbridge knights in the final rather than the guarantee of one.

The semi-final may well be the match of the tourney to remember, Redtusk and Ser Imry Levalle outdo Breakspear and Blackfyre, not until the thirteenth set of lances breaks does finally Ser Imry's balance slip. That Redtusk foregoes the ransom on account of his opponent having earned a draw does not seem to diminish Ser Imry's disappointment.
