[OOC: I am fully aware that it may be too late for any of the below to have a mechanical effect. I figure that at worst I waste a little time and refresh myself on mechanics/Orokos use, if it DOES have a mechanical effect, so much the better] Ser Davos knew two things. First, he hated war. He had had enough of it during his time with the Second Sons to last a lifetime, and have no interest in seeking glory for glory's sake. Second, he knew he was a skilled leader of men and that good, skilled commanders were likely to end the war faster, with less pain and suffering, and less damage to smallfolk and innocents from broken men or ill-disciplined troops. Thus with a heavy heart he joined his Starkwood brothers-in-arms in declaring for House Blackwood. On the other hand, he had immensely enjoyed the company of Lady Mya, and fighting on behalf of her kin was likely to lead to more opportunities to resume their acquaintance (and maybe more). A silver lining in the dark clouds of war, but it was the silver linings that made life worth living. Pledging your swordDavos gains 5 Blackwood Points, +1 Blood, +2 Disposition with House Blackwood, -5 disposition with House Bracken. Davos gains equipment from sponsors worth up to 25GD [TBD pending Narrator approval and review of equipment costs and effects] Recruiting:Recruitment bonuses: +3 (Warfare 4) +2 (Fighting 5) +2 (Athletics & Endurance 4) ___ +7 --> +1D, +1b, +1 You may attempt as many of the following as you like (must mark side of choice): Recruiting Blackwood Persuasion(Convince)+Chivalry TN 12: 6d6k5+3 26 3 DoS (many months later and the '1 short' curse still pertains) 4D Persuasion +1D, +1b, +1 Recruitment bonuses +2 Chivalry Status (Reputation)+Chivalry TN 12: 7d6k5+3 26 3 DoS (seriously???) [Forgot to label as for Blackwood, will reroll if requested, other two rolls have it though] 4D Status 1b Reputation +1D, +1b, +1 Recruitment bonuses +2 Chivalry Warfare (Command)+Chivalry TN 12 Blackwood: 8d6k5+3 26 (3 in a row... at least I'm consistent) Recruiting Warfare Blackwood Lucky Reroll: 8d6k5+3 20 (heh, no) 4D Warfare 2b Command +1D, +1b, +1 Recruitment bonuses +2 Chivalry -Gain +9 Blackwood points. -Succeed on all three tests: An NPC will join the campaign for your side: Jasper Flowers (iirc he is Lord Oakheart's Dornish bastard brother? Would also hope the ol' nemesis to show up too, on the Bracken side - interesting twist on the tropes of having brothers fighting on opposite sides...) EDIT: If my Tragedy at Summerhall rolls are permitted, Davos would have had 1 more Chivalry, making all three rolls above exactly 4 DoS instead of 3. That would up the Blackwood points earned to 12. Apologies for any timey-wimey confusions.

Lord Walgrave Oakheart had not really intended to get involved in the fighting in The Riverlands, a distraction from the real threat, and it wouldn't change much anyway. But upon learning that there would be Rhoynar villains involved, the calculus changes. Exterminating such vermin is a worthy enough pursuit, and things like a Fossoway peacock ball or the selection of a new member of the most devout in Oldtown interests him very little to begin with.
Davos: +1 Blood, +2 Disposition with House Blackwood, -5 disposition with House Bracken. 25GD worth of equipment from sponsors. Jasper Flower joins. The calculations involving Blackwood points have been made preparing for phase 3, so those are not counted. Nemesis "bonus": Walgrave Oakheart commits himself to join: +1 Fire. +2 Disposition with House Bracken, -5 disposition with House Blackwood. Recruiting for Brackens: 7d6k5+3 20 10d6k7+3 35 8d6k5+3 23Success on all tests, whom to bring along? Hmm, Ser Normyn Flowers is a great guy, let's invite him along for the road!
