First things first, Drawbacks. Because of Weak Willed, TN is 16 Goldengrove Vindictive and Prejudice rolls: 2#4d6 17 17
Perfect! Looks like he will behave and have a good time, as far as things go. He might as well use this opportunity to get a good look at Lord Rowan, since it is his event, and his interactions with most of the Lords has been formal, so any dirt he can find on the Lord's coat is always welcome. I will use Connections to make another Cloak and Dagger roll to get rumors on Lady Laena, since she will be interacting here shortly. Also, any more information he can get on his sister is something he is very interested in. Goldengrove- Cloak and Dagger: Knowledge (Streetwise) Rumors on Lady Laena: 6d6k4 15

Maester Rhaegor sipped on his goblet of wine, his eyes scanning the room as the rim of the glass rested just below his eyeline. He didn't think his presence at the wedding would bring anything but a curious glance; after all, a maester at a wedding was hardly a cause for interest. But, he wasn't any maester, and his appearance was certainly something that would cause wandering eyes to stare. The vibrant silver hair wasn't the result of aging, and the purple eyes he possessed confirmed any suspicion as to the nature of his bloodline. He was a Targaryen, that much was certain. A dragon, his glare caused some to shudder, and his stone-like glance made it hard to get a good read on him. But, he was a chained dragon, by his own design. The maester chain that he wore on his shoulders was intricate, detailed and kept in pristine condition. The links of various metals caught the light brilliantly, glistening on some, defining the edges on others. It was an impressive sight to behold, combined with bracelets that made appearances briefly from beneath the dark black robe that he wore. These chains were artificial, and binding, but a dragon cannot be kept down for long. He raised his shoulders to release a long sigh, deciding that any information he could gain while here was the best option, for his house and himself. While seeing his siblings was something he expected, he didn't realize how many would make an appearance. He became fixated on Lady Laena, her words stopping his train of thought. The Great Bastards were overhyped celebrities, not worth the renown they had unrightfully and ungratefully acquired upon their father's death. Pathetic dragons; they lacked the teeth and claws required to be a real threat. With the coming revolution, they are squandering their potential to seize real power. There is more to a conquest then men with weapons and a rallying cry. And yet, Lady Laena had caused him pause. He remembered her, from the brief period they shared together in the Red Keep as children. Simpler times, he was a different creature then. He wondered, how much his sister had changed, and decided that a formal encounter was something that would prove beneficial to the both of them, especially if she was the dragon she paraded around as.

Ser Abelar is quite taken with Lady Ellyn's charming demeanor and the wit and wisdom to be found at The Tear, surely the rumors surrounding House Levalle are remains of the past, no? Given the turmoil and chaos within House Hightower, one cannot proceed with any negotiations as that would require a regent to treat with it. But if such matters could be settled to one's advantage, the road would probably be wide open. Ellyn is not particularly impressed with the man himself, but compared to the possible alternative, she'll take a mediocre Hightower without hesitation.

Post by Lysette Starling on Dec 29, 2019 2:10:21 GMT 1
Lady Lysette was pleased to attend the Wedding between Ser Simon and Lady Jeyne, though, not many others of her House seemed as... enthusiastic, to say the least. She had to practically beg her father to come, but with that winning smile she had she imagined that he would come along, if not for his sake then for hers. She loudly raised her goblet at the toast and was as enthusiastic to the cause as many of the other loyalists. Everything that she did today was in order to pull her father to the fold, and get him to start to lean further on the path for Blood. She made sure that he played nice and talked to both Lord Starkwood and Lord Rowan, and helped facilitate the conversations there, establishing that she wasn't just a pretty face, but had a sharp mind and authority on House Starling. Besides that, she used the time to mingle and make her presence known; she wanted everyone to know that House Starling was a loyalist, despite some of the men joining the side of fire. Of course Ser Davos attended his nephew's wedding. The wine was good, almost too good, but it wouldn't do to embarrass the family at the heir's wedding. While he was no ardent supporter of King Daeron as many of his compatriots were, he certainly had no ill will for the man, and expressed his feelings that all wars should be conducted honorably. He did exchange some... words... with Lady Mya Rivers, perhaps not the wisest thing to do at such an event, but the lady had been a fun companion at prior events, and that wine really had been awfully good... Lord Willem can never resist attending a tourney where he might match lances with the longthorn or Dennis Hightwer, and younger talent like Ser Sebaston. It is not difficult at all to make him take a liking to Lord Rowan, but with Lord Starkwood, it is like trying to make ice and fire sing together. They are just too different in temperament and outlook to find anything in common.
Lady Mya isn't above a little fun, in this case involving leading a knight on to impure thoughts and fantasies but dangling them in front of him like a mirage of an Oasis after a day in the desert with nothing but sand and sun for company, never knowing if reaching it is possible, yet making it feel like all he ever wanted. Maybe she'll be at Raventree if he comes to visit, she would certainly appreciate his presence all the same.
Lysette: -Succeed on all four tests: +1 Blood, +2 Disposition with Lord Rowan (To a max of +4) -Gain +1 Disposition with a number of blood aligned characters present up to a combined status equal to 10 (Cannot move past +4). -Willem's enthusiastic participation in the festivities (naturally defying all seven champions) cancels his public status as fire-leaning. -Willem and Thaddeus: +2 disposition towards one another.
Davos:
-Succeed on all four tests: +1 Blood, +2 Disposition with Lord Rowan (To a max of +4) -Gain +1 Disposition with a number of blood aligned characters present up to a combined status equal to 6 (Cannot move past +4). -Gain +2 Disposition with Mya Rivers.
-In Matchmaking&bringing together I took a shortcut in resolving matters because of narrator lazy-mode. -For new arrivals, checking the last announcement post should give instructions on claiming rewards, disposition gains with X worth of status means you'll have to figure out which ones yourself.

Courtship Season: 2 * Attempts to get Aerion & X together, where X is yet to be determined. It's been 3 months since he last posted, and 2 since he appeared at all. I'd forgotten about this, but let's get it done - NPC-Aerion with who I feel is the best option. Goldengrove - Matchmaking - Gwyn Grimm & Aerion - Awareness (Empathy) +1D extra time: 6d6k5+1 16 Supposed to roll for both separately, and I didn't name who. Rerolling! Goldengrove - Matchmaking - Gwyn Grimm & Aerion - Awareness (Empathy) +1D extra time (Aerion, then Gwyn): 2#6d6k5+1 18 16 Sigh. Should have gone the other way around. Goldengrove - Matchmaking - Gwyn Grimm & Aerion - Cunning (Logic) +1D extra time - TN12: 6d6k5+1 27 4 DoS! There's where my luck went! Goldengrove - Matchmaking - Gwyn Grimm & Aerion - Persuasion (Convince) +1D extra time (Aerion, then Gwyn): 2#6d6k5+1 17 20 Aerion should probably have at least +2, if not +3 from dispositions that I forgot to add. If Gwyn is Attractive, she probably gets +1 as well. So, 19-20 for Aerion, and 20-21 for Gwyn. Goldengrove - Matchmaking - Gwyn Grimm & Aerion - Audience (Grimm) +1D extra time: 8d6k6+1+7 35 That should do. I'm assuming I don't need an Audience test for my own brother.

Lady Grimm is not adverse to such a union, though Aerion might require more persuasion, not entirely convinced that the she would not be any happier with the Roxtons perhaps. Though that might be the allure of one day wielding Orphan-Maker pulling him towards what otherwise might be a less desirable choice for one that at times might treat him as if she were his mother.

Left it too late to participate. Trystane is present, but to no mechanical effect. Probably too busy getting chummy with Lord Rowan, avoiding Ser Eustace, and flirting with ladies and fellows out of his league.
