”Of course, my lady.” his response is equally proper. ”Such deeds would only blacken the souls, if not the names, of all involved.”
Of blackened soul, Thaddeus cares little and in someways even less of blackened name. His stands sooty enough is it is. But no need to further smear it in public if such could be avoided.
No, a retaliation in the melee seemed proper but they can not rely on brute force alone, even if Ser Robyn time and time again had proved a rare talent in such matters.

"That is good to hear, ser, lest anyone would mistake our conversation as weaving schemes in the shadows." Alicent agrees. "Only those with something to hide would seek the shadows, at least north of the Reach" It isn't cold, but The Sun's gaze is not as unpleasant as it could be at Highgarden these days.

"Indeed." He bows deeply with courteous grace, making his exaunt unless she would have more to say him.
She was no fool, the Lady Alicent. That was clear. Few could have evaded Lord Piggy in such elegant matter and yet live. And now bit by bit things seemed to fall in place for her betrothed, Ser Roland, to ascend the seat of Hammerhal - with minimal blood on her hands, no smudge on her name or honour. Perhaps that is why she had turned to Thaddeus' father? While House Levalle might prove resolute and resourceful to see her plan come to fruition they where also of ill-repute enough for a proper, respected Lady to deny all affiliation with - leaving Thaddeus and his kin to bare any consequence should they fail.
Yet should they succeed it would not be a bad thing to have a friend of The Tear ruling Hammerhal...
happy to call it /scene unless Alicent has more to say
